I am currently on my way to HQ to tell Mr. Davis and the Board of What to Do and Not to Do about Doc's discovery while he tweaked his gadgets to show the Board on Monday and it was a Friday so he needed to do a lot of work but the ideas were amazing.  I couldn't wait to try them. I parked in my spot and headed into the building to be greeted by the other agents and staff. I could see pride and hate and the Oh-great-look-who-finally-decided-to-show-up-look in their eyes. Eh. I was used to it. I am used to not fitting in from like since I can remember. But I don't want to fit in because I know that I am born to stand out so I don't even try. I walk into Mr. Davis' office and tell him the great news. He embraces me in a short but full of relief and happiness hug and then we both head off to the Board's office. We wait till we're called and until then I text  Doc to tell him we're waiting. We are finally called and we enter telling them about Doc's discovery and how he could not be here as he is working. I explain to them about the rat and the whole process of recovery. They seem to understand and their decision is that they will tell all the hospitals and health care units about the discovery and what they should have and the process so they can save someone who has been infected. It seemed like a pretty reasonable outcome and they seemed really pleased which isn't really often I must tell you. We thank them and head out. Smiles all around. I text Doc a thumbs up meaning they were pleased but he didn't reply. I guess he's still working so I just brush it off. I part ways with Mr. Davis and he goes towards the right while I go to the left towards my cosy little cabin but stop at the cafe to grab some coffee. I enter my cabin and look around. I haven't been in here for a while. I take a seat in my chair and  finish my report on the Mason Case and browse through other files on my desk when my alarm goes off signaling that it was time to get ready for training. I went into my private restroom (Yes, I have one be jealous:P) and changed into some sweats and a baggy T-Shirt and headed off to the Training Center. I always come here a few minutes early to get all warmed up and stretched out before my training starts. I run a few laps, drink some water, do a few crunches and sit-ups and drink water and 2 more sets of that and do my stretching and I'm ready. I do some more stretching and Mr. Davis still hasn't arrived. I walk up to the guy who manages the training schedules and ask if Mr. Davis told him if he was going to be late or rescheduled or cancelled my session today. He said he had just cancelled due to some thing major that had happened and that he was busy so I should just do my regular stretching and warm up and some rock climbing and practice tying diferent knots and do some target practice. Also that I have my fitness check up today and then I can take the rest of the day off. I thanked him and headed back to train. It was odd how come he didn't tell anyone to tell me? Maybe it was really important and he just forgot to tell me but he did tell the guy right? But what happened? I finished my training and just went into the fitness check up room and waited for my nurse to come. While I waited I did did my eyesight check thing like always and by the time I was done, she came. She started to apologize and I cut her off by saying that I'm early as my training finished early and that she's on time. She just smiles and starts to get to work. There's silence and it's not the awkward kind, we were just doing our work and my head was clearly not functioning as I didn't think before I asked her, "Do you know what the emergency was?" She hesitated and seemed as if she was thinking what to say. Finally she decided to speak, "I don't know exactly but I think one of our agents had an accident." Accident. Meaning they died in an encounter. Simple way to put something heartbreaking for someone else. I just nodded. "Do you know if Mr. Davis went too?" I asked her while she checked my blood pressure and other health regarding stuff like that. "Yeah, he went too. He took his shot gun and was running out. Most agents were called in to report. It's pretty massive I think. It will be hard to keeping it away from the media." "Ohhhh..." Shotgun. Massive. Shotgun. Shotgun. Oh please no! I was fidegting in my seat and she told me to stand up. I walked to the scale. I could hear faint scribbling of her pen writing my weight. Time flew by and my weekly health check up was finished. I grabbed a water bottle and headed to my office. I had finished the bottle before I even walked across two cabins. Yup, I was nervous. I threw it into the trashcan and ran to my cabin as fast as my feet could take me. I ran in my cabin straight to my restroom and changed. I grabbed my jacket and was out the door in 2 minutes. I ran in the hallways and bolted out the door. I ran to my parking spot and jumped right into my convertible (the convertible top was off). I turned on the engine and revved out of the parking lot as fast as I could. I raced to Doc's lair. Surprisingly, I didn't get chased or pulled over by a cop. Maybe becuase I was on a freeway. I took the turn to Doc's deserted but not so deserted lair and the same feeling as the one I got on the day I was playing with Granny when the officers adn officials came to break the devastating news of the death of my parents. The feeling of pain, despair and what is waiting in store for me next. REVENGE.I could smell it in the air. I parked my car on the right side as close to the lair and turned off the engine, grabbed my keys and my AK-47 from the passenger side and jumped out. I looked around and let the scene sink in. The smell of gunshots was in the air. No one was here yet. So maybe I was just letting anxiety get the best of me. He is fine. I ran to the door with my gun firmly held in my hands.  I raised my hand t knock when the door opened on its own. Shit. This was SO NOT a good sign. I entered and ran to the door in the basement that lead to the actual lair and found myself on the floor sobbing. Why was I right? Why? I checked his pulse. Zilch. Zero. Not even a bit. He was dead and his body was a little cold so it has been a while.
