Chapter 26

Day 25

Haeri wake up from dozing when the clock strike one in the afternoon. She's tired after the mourning yesterday. Her tiredness even make her to forget the fact that Chanyeol has been missing.

Today, their school was having the sports day. But they are both not interested in it at all.

Sena can barely say a word. She's too shocked and has a mental breakdown. She never stop on blaming herself. If only she was home early or she run back home under the rain, none of this would be happening.

She won't be too sad about anything like this.

The house filled with silence. None of the both dared to speak a word. They even skip school. Honestly, both of them doesn't feel well at all. After awhile of spending time in the silence house, locking theirselves in each of their room, the doorbell rang.

But since the twins were too engrossed, the bells deafened.

Sehun literally groaned after awhile of ringing the doorbell. The boys got no response at all.

"Are they really inside?" Sehun frowned. He started to knock the door hard.

Kyungsoo, feeling a bit worry, he twisted the doorknob only to find it unlock. Everyone stare at him with wide eyes as he casually walk in.

"Does he has any power to unlock every locks or is it a coincidence that the door was unlock?" Chen blinked.

"He always did that," Baekhyun replied blankly. "He keeps on twisting the doorknob only to find it unlock."

"I really thought it was locked," Sehun said in disbelief.

"Goldilocks," Chen muttered.

"Are you coming in or not?" Kyungsoo raised a brow.

They snapped from their thoughts and walked in. They slowly approach each of their room. Baekhyun decided to go to Haeri with Chen as Kyungsoo and Sehun went to Sena.

Baekhyun brought his hand up and knocked on the door. He slowly twisted the doorknob and peek in.

"She's in?" Chen whispered.

Baekhyun open the door wide for Chen to see. Haeri was staring blankly out of the window. Her face showed no emotion. Her mouth never move.

"Haeri?" Baekhyun called out but got no response. He slowly walked to her and tapped her shoulder making her to jump.

"O-Oh," she stuttered as her eyes blinked at both of them. "How did you get in?"

"The door's unlock," Chen answered. "Which is dangerous. Especially when there are only both of you girls in the house."

Suddenly, Chen's phone make a short ringtone. He groaned before fishing for his phone. Baekhyun and Haeri were looking at him. Chen was busy reading his notification until his eyes wide open.

"What?" He muttered.

"What what?" Baekhyun asked as he approached Chen trying to see what he saw.

Haeri was trying so hard to not get curious about it. But she herself couldn't help it at all. So she start to walk approaching the two of them. When she was nearing, Chen bring his phone further from her.

"What are you doing? I want to see it too," she pouted.

Chen childishly shook his head. Baekhyun agreed to Chen and bring his index finger to her face only to wave it as a sign of 'no'. Haeri furrowed her eyebrows, frustrated with their behaviors.

"Why can't I see it?" She asked with a frown. Unsatisfied with their attitude.

"Just because," Chen simply give her an answer. Short answer.

While Sena was just sitting on her bed with herself staring on her phone, reading the big headline.

"Are you okay?" Kyungsoo asked as he waved a hand in front of her.

She jumped a bit before standing on her foot. Her eyes showed fear. She gulped down the lump in her throat. She's obviously scared.

"I-I need to go now," she stuttered. Before she dash out of the room, Sehun caught her wrist.

"You're not feeling well," he frowned. "Don't go--"

"Xiumin is not well as well! I need to go!" Her eyes almost make the tears fall. She harshly snatched her wrist from Sehun's grip.

Sehun was startled by her sudden action. For all the time he knew her, she never act that way to him. Before he knew it, Sena has long disappear from his sight. Their sight.

"We need to follow her," Kyungsoo snapped Sehun from his deep thought.

Sehun agreed and so both of them followed. Meanwhile, Haeri heard the heavy running footsteps from outside. She walked to the door and manage to catch a glimpse of Kyungsoo and Sehun rushing downstairs.

She turned to face Baekhyun and Chen with a glare. "Explain now."

"No time," Chen walked out of the room following the others.

"W-We should just follow," Baekhyun suggested as he tried to escape from her too.

"Not until you tell--" her phone rang. She look at it and read the notification.

Kim Junsung from the worldwide Kim company was brought to the hospital. The witnesses believe he collapse once a young boy, Kim Minseok, pushed him when he crossed the road. Kim Minseok got hit by a car after saving Kim Junsung.

Haeri's eyes widen. Without saying a word, she also rushed out. Not long until Baekhyun called after her.

"What do you want?!" Haeri raged as Baekhyun start to stutter at her sudden anger.

"Y-You need to lock--"

"Do it yourself!"

"O-Okay," Baekhyun gulped down his nervousness. Baekhyun make sure the doors and gate were locked. He tried to catch up with Haeri but failed. So he just ran all the way to the hospital.

Haeri was panting so hard that she could barely breath calmly. It's painful. She saw the emergency room. The waiting room is where she went to.

Sena was fighting with the doctor, which wasn't really her concern. Because she's there not for her. It's for her father.

"Why can't I get in?" Sena cried. "Please."

"I'm sorry Miss Kim," the nurse apologized.

"But why?!"

Seeing how much the nurses struggle, Haeri hold back Sena by the shoulder.

"Kim Sena," her voice was soft.

"Haeri, Xiumin is in there," she cried. "I'm scared."

Haeri was hurt. She's hurt seeing her own twin like that. She hugged Sena as she tried to calm her down. Soon, her cried hitched to a sob.

Both of them forgot about the world as they tried to comfort each other. Their life has started to ruin bit by bit.
