A manatee was just born and she and her mother were swimming around and a boat came and the manatees got hurt really bad. And the mother and the baby got rescued and sadly they could no longer be out in the open.😭😭😭😭 And that was a true story I met that baby manatee and sadly her mother died it was sad.Im gonna tell you about manatees ok.manatees are gentle ocean mammals.They can weigh up to 1,000 pounds (454 kilograms ).Their paddle shaped tail helps them swim they use flippers to steer. Manatees eat water plants and grasses they use a larger upper lip to grab and tear food their strong back teeth grind food to eat. One more thing I want you to know they are related to elephants.
