"I could be very neighborly," Tori had said smirking. I rolled my eyes and looked back at the boy. He looked about 6'3, maybe my age (16), and probably a baseball player by the way his arms look when he picked up the boxes.
"Maddie," my mom yelled from the living room, "have you seen the neighbors across the street? It looks like they have a boy your age. I think we are going to invite them come over for dinner tonight."
"Uh.. mom do we have to?" I asked hoping she says she's kidding.
"Yes of coarse we have to." My mom said suddenly standing in the doorway of my room. "Do you and Tori mind going over there and asking them?"
"No of coarse not Mrs. Stevens." My best friend said before I could even respond. Then Tori took my hand and pulled me out of the house and across the street.
"Can I help you ladies?" The boy's dad had asked while wiping the sweat off his head.
"Um yes. My parents wanted to invite your family over for dinner tonight at 5 pm. We life across the street." I pointed to my White House.
"Oh how nice!!" The mans wife comes over and exclaims. "Tell you parents we will be there. My name is Jessica Smiles and this is my husband Rick Smiles." Her husband gave us a small wave.
"Nice to meet you!!" I said, "I'm Maddie and this is my best friend Tori."
"Well it was nice to meet you both but we still have a lot of unpacking to do." Mrs. Smiles said while laugh at her husband. "See you and you parents tonight." And with that me and Tori walked back over to my house.
As soon as we got inside my room Tori asked, "So what are you gonna wear?"
"Ugh!!" Was all I had to say while I fell onto my bed.
