"Is there something wrong Teagen?" her mother asked as she pushed Naru and Lore out the door to go wash up.
Teagen finally gathered her courage.
"How come you never told me that I was an android!"
Her mother dropped the glass in her hand. The shattered pieces covered the floor. Her mother looked at her with worried eyes. The sound of the door sliding open caused Teagen to turn around. Her father walked up behind her.
"I can explain." her mother said still a bit shaken.
"How could you not tell me a thing like this!" Teagen said her eyes watering.
"Teagen." her father said. "We thought that by being the first people to test the most realistic android, we would feel special." "When we first saw you, you didn't seem like a machine for work.....you were a daughter." her mother continued as she smiled slightly.
"And we love you." Teagen's father added.
As Teagen turned her head, she realized that her brother and sister had witnessed everything. She had thought that they left the room, but there they were peeking through the doorway.
Teagen looked at them both; the confusion in their eyes. Her father put his hand in the pocket of his forest green vest and sighed. Teagen opened the door from which they had been hiding behind. She looked down at them as they looked at her. Teagen pushed past them to the living room. Just then, the phone rang. It's touchscreen glowing teal with each ring.
