"Oh, they are simply perfect!" Adam Flamel said holding his two children for the first time.
Really "perfect" was the only way to describe the newborns. With their identical blond hair and sparkling blue eyes, the twins had almost angelic looks to their serene faces.
"Hand me one of them," Adam's wife Tessa requested in a tired voice from her position on the hospital bed in Saint Mungo's room 502.
Adam handed his wife the girl, her tiny hands rubbing at her closed eyelids. Tessa took her cautiously, as though the woman was afraid that she would drop the child.
These were the young couple's first children and they were as inexperienced as any two twenty three-year-old adults would be, suddenly confronted with two new lives to have to care for.
Adam lay a hand on Tessa's shoulder and looked at her. "Hey, this is a good thing." He said "thank Merlin, they are both happy and healthy. And besides," he smirked "now we don't have to worry about that spoiled only child thing that my grandparents had to deal with when they had my dad. Don't worry, we are going to raise these kids better than any other parents out there!"
Tessa nodded, still looking nervous but calmed down quite a bit. She handed her daughter back to her husband and said: "well, let's get started, then."
