At a leisurely pace the girl steadily walks down the street. Tripping at every chance she gets she trys to stabilize herself. One foot drags after the other being too tired to be picken up. Tonight drained her out of all the energy she had. It was her eighteenth birthday, at least for another twelve minutes it was. Because of what she was, turning eighteen meant finding a mate.

Since she was so stubborn a whole day was wasted at a club with her friends. They have already found theirs except for one and for the first time ever she might be the first wolf who has skipped the Blue Ball.

Everyone turing eighteen or already past that age was suppose to be there, except for the ones who has already found their other half. The ball has been a tradition for three hundred and fifty years. The only way to find him now is if she accidentally runs into him. That waa fifty fifty chance.

The girl begins to cross the road trying to hold on to nothing in particular. Too drunk to see that a car is coming she bends over to pick up her purse that she accidentally drops, with all of her items spilling out. Her friends always called her the clumsy type and right now was the worst of all times to be it.

Slamming on brakes just in time a man exits the car followed by another girl. Telling himself that if he stops before hitting the black haired drunk that she would get a piece of his mind. Which he successfully did. He was in a foul mood tonight leaving the Blue Ball that he has to attend every year because of his father. Tonight his father was sure that he would find his mate but had no luck. It's been four years and since have given up. Instead he decided to take Olivia, a girl he's been seeing and decided to take her home tonight to ease his mind. It just so happens that she hasn't found her mate also. There was also this other reason but was too complicated.

Laying his eyes on the girl picking up her stuff, not even noticing that she was almost hit, all of the words he had saved up disappeared. He was even more furious.

'What the hell did she think she was doing' he thought to himself. Bending down he pick up her ID that had Autumn Summers printed on it. It took every will power he had not to snatch her up on the spot. Not only was she alone on a dark deserted road but also drunk. She must had a death wish!

Finally sensing someone she looks up with wide eyes. Was she too drunk to not notice other people around her? Snatching her ID from the unknown dude she trys to stand. Stumbling a little the man catches her. Both freezes as a tingle travels through her. Not knowing if it was from the alcohol or the distance she walked, she passes out. Picking her up bridal style the still irriated man places her in the car.

He drives off heading home once again but not before dropping the girl he had with him before off. She was fumming yet he didn't care, she would be over it by tomorrow anyways. He has finally found what he has been looking for but didn't know what to do. He was in a one year relationship. Glancing through the rearview mirror he lets out a sigh and speeds on home.

This first chapter is short but I promise the next one will be longer. Also this is a story dealing with an interracial couple. If you don't approve than you don't have to read it. Also keep rude comments to yourself.

I don't care if you give your opinion on the story, actually I would love your feedback.
