"Wait, it's official now?" Asked Matt.
"Well, the urban legends prove true. And he came after you two, so..." Nate shrugged.
"How are you so casual?" Matt questioned him.
"I saw this coming." Nate realized what he said, so he tried to explain. "The thing is, I saw the tracking symbol, a small arrow, next to your wi-fi symbol." Nate explained. Matt and Steph nodded their heads. "Now how about looking for codes?"
Matt and Steph sat back down at the computer.
"What was he saying?" Asked Matt.
Nate shrugged, but Stephanie stepped in. "Something about... A signal? And not being home."
"So he is tracking us through the computer." Matt said.
"Is this really worth it?" Asked Stephanie.
"It's too late to go back, and even if we did, we already went onto the deep web, which means the kidnapper is still able to track us. If we stepped off the deep web, we wouldn't get the arrow warning." Matt explained.
After a short while, they had obtained 4 codes. But suddenly, the screen glitched.
"What's going on?!" Asked Matt, worried.
"You're being Hacked! It looks like a DOS attack!" Yelled Nate.
A pixilated skull appeared on the screen and gave a robotic laugh. A large square with arrows appeared on the screen.
"Get the moving arrow to the end!" Yelled Nate.
Matt directed the arrow in one empty box to the end, but Stephanie saw his mistake. "No! You have to go through all of the boxes!" She yelled. But it was too late. Matt had failed the puzzle, and they had been Hacked.
"Check your notes, quickly." Nate demanded.
Much to their dismay, all of the codes had been erased. Matt hit his head on the desk. "Great...."
But then Stephanie's eyes lit up. "I've got it!" She ran to the kitchen and grabbed a notepad as well as a pen before running back. "We can't loose them now!" She said.
"Great. Now, let's go get those codes back."
