Angry Ex

Lucas was furious. Here he was at a really big and fun party. He was supposed to be enjoying himself. Drinking and having the time of his life.  But he wasn't. His gaze on Maya as she was obviously flirting really hard on a guy he has never seen before. And he was flirting back.

He felt like the possessive ex that never let anyone near his ex girlfriend. They're not together anymore and he should accept that. She made it pretty clear that she was done with him. That they were over.

" Why are you being so fucking stubborn? " Lucas growled.

Maya rolled her eyes and scoffed, " I'm not being stubborn, you asshole. I just don't need all your fucking pity. We're over. I don't want to see your face ever again! So just let go of my wrist so I can leave! "

This was definitely not how the dinner was supposed to go. This was not how Lucas expected it when he pictured it in his head.

" We were going perfect the other day. What the hell is wrong with you, Maya? " Lucas said earnestly. Though, he was absolutely fed up with all her nonsense. He didn't know why the hell she was acting like this.

" Nothing is wrong with me asshole. I have fucking ears Lucas I know what everyone is talking about. I never liked you, and I never will like you. " Maya froze.

Why the fuck was she being like this? Lucas could feel the anger rising upon his skin. She never liked him but led him on for a year? What kind of deranged bullshit was that?

" You're fucking kidding me, right? " He said through clenched teeth.

She inhaled sharply, " Go fuck yourself Lucas because I'm not going to do it anymore. We are over. "

" Maya, wh- "

" Bye, Lucas. "

Maya was furious. Here she was  at a really big and fun party. She was supposed to be enjoying herself. Drinking and having the time of her life. But she wasn't. Why did she ever expect this from him? She would purposely hit on guys in front of Lucas. Hoping that he would get jealous and claim her his. But no, every time she would look at Lucas he was always focused on something else. Maybe she should just stop trying.

She felt like the really secretively crazy ex that always wanted them to get back together. They're not together anymore and she'll just have to accept that. She broke up with him, but she had a good reason. It's not like she wanted to. She had to.

" I feel bad for you, Maya. " Missy said before she popped the spoon of pudding she was holding into her mouth.

It was lunch and they were both waiting for everyone to show up.

" Why? " Maya asked.

Missy scoffed as if it was obvious. " It must suck to be in a relationship that was doomed from the start. "

Maya had heard someone say that before. That her and Lucas looked like a really hot couple but they were horrible for each other. Both completely different and would bite each other's head off when they fight.
