A few minutes later Lunae made it to her room to find her gamma/ roommate Scarlett already home. Scarlett asked Lunae " what were you and Alpha Lux talking about?" Lunae looked at her surprised and said " how did you know it was alpha lux? I just found out today that he was alpha, Lux." Scarlett looked at her giggled and said" Why wouldn't I know him his pack has the best warriors and he is known for being ruthless and only cares about training. There are also rumors that he doesn't want to find his mate. He apparently doesn't care about his mate." Lunae's heart broke she had no clue why. She had just met him and she was already hurt by the fact he didn't care about finding his mate as if it was personal. She shook it off knowing she and Jaxx had already started the mating process. They had agreed to be mates if they didn't find their mates by the age of 18. Lunae and Jaxx met when she was 16 years old. She was really happy with him. He had helped her through the years of torture and banishment. Jaxx was the son of the werewolf king. When his dad had banished her him and his sister went with her knowing even with her being the cause of their brother's death she couldn't control her powers at the time.

Everything she could have wished for came true. She had an amazing pack who always helped her through the years of pain and a family that understood what she had been through. She snapped out of her thoughts when a knock came to the door. The smell of cinnamon and pine hit her nose. She smiled as Jaxx walked in and hugged her from behind. She couldn't contain her joy as his arms wrapped around her. Jaxx let go and said " You smell of the alpha lux. I don't like it." Lunae told Jaxx everything hat happened including the odd feeling of being hurt over the rumors. Jaxx sighed " I was afraid this was going to happen one day. I thought I would have more time before it happened but I am letting you know I don't want to give you up. I will fight for you." Lunae asked what he was talking about. He replied " You found your true mate. The one person who will complete you. The one that the moon goddess picked to be your better half." Lunae hugged Jaxx and said with tears " you are my everything but if the moon goddess picked him I can't argue. I will learn to love him but I will always love you." Flare walked in the room and said " I'm not any one's second choice. So be with the one you love. I alpha flare Lux reject you alpha Lunae widow." Flare ran off in blind anger and hatred.

Lunae fell to the ground with intense pain. Her body glowed red with markings and burned into her skin. Jaxx looked at Lunae, then ran after Flare. Scarlett held Lunae close and tried to calm her. Lunae's body spazzed. The markings slowly stopped glowing. Lunae had finally calmed down and just laid there crying from the remaining pain. Jaxx was gone for hours. When he returned he ran to Lunae seeing the burns all over. He immediately held her close. Lunae looked up at him with the tears still in her eyes. Jaxx wiped her tears, picked her up and to her bed. He set her down on the bed and tucked her in. She finally spoke " Why does it hurt so much, and why did he reject me?" Jaxx sat next to her and responded by saying" Because your heart and soul was ripped to pieces when he rejected you. But I know you're strong enough to get through it. You are stronger than anyone I know and he missed out on an amazing, beautiful and intelligent woman."

Jaxx rubbed her back then kissed her forehead. Scarlett walked into her room and said " Tenebris will be here soon. He has news regarding the rogue attacks." Jaxx stood up and walked to the living room. Lunae stayed in bed and let Jaxx take handle the meeting with Scarlett's mate Tenebris. Tenebris arrived and asked " Where is Lunae? I have news of who is leading the rogue attacks. She won't like this at all." Jaxx looked at the ground and stated" she is in bed her true mate rejected her. She is in a lot of pain." Tenebris walked to her room and sat next to her. He put his hand on her shoulder and said:" I know you're in pain but if he couldn't see how amazing you are he isn't worth it." Lunae sat up and asked, " Who is orchestrating the rogue attacks?" Tenebris replies" It's your brother have." Lunae stood up and shifted. Jaxx and Scarlett walked in the room and smiled.

Jaxx thought out loud " she's back, she's so strong-willed, thank the goddess." Lunae nudged Jaxx's legs and he bent down to pet her. He noticed her once pure white fur was stained with grey marks. Tenebris sighed " she is not a normal wolf. The grey color of the marks suggests she has demonic blood in her veins. The nature of the marks though suggests she is a descendant of the moon goddess." Lunae looked up at Jaxx and wagged her tail. Jaxx picked her up, set her on the bed, and asked everyone to leave the room. Lunae looked up at him with confusion. Jaxx looked at her sternly and told her to shift back and to get dressed. Then he left the room and shut the door. Lunae shifted back and screamed in pain with every bone moving back into place. She slowly got dressed into black leggings a black shirt her boots and a grey jacket. After changing she walked to the living room. The group sat for hours strategizing what to do about the rouges.
