Zyale -Parking the car in front of my old home we sat there.
"This is your house?" London spoke up.
"Yea," I mumbled. "It's like a hideout."
"Oh." She looked down at Jada who was sound asleep.I looked over at her and smiled. "It's pretty empty in there. Why don't we go out and buy some furniture?"
Her eyes lit up in excitement, "Really?"
I nodded and exited the car, opening the passenger door for her. "Hold Jada." She passed Jada to me, grabbing her belongings.I looked down at Jada, she was an adorable little girl. She looked like me. "Here." I handed her the keys. She grabbed them and made her way to the door while I carried Jada. She entered and smiled, "We're gunna have some things to do" She placed her bags on the kitchen table and walked into the living room. Once she completed snooping around she faced me. "It's nice, just needs color and furniture. I'll place Jada in the guest room." She slugged Jada over her shoulder and held her head close to her chest.
"Be right back" She took off toward the stairs.
"Zyale!" She screamed. "Why is there a fuckin' thong in your bed!"
Shit...
"I promise it was just -"
"You promised a lot, but you can't keep it." She shook her head disapprovingly. "I'll sleep on the couch." She walked back down the flight of stairs.I picked the thong up and threw it in the trash.
"Sorry," I sucked my bottom lips sitting next to her, waiting upon her response.
She shrugged, "We aren't together Zyale, you're a grown man, you make your own decisions."
I just nodded slowly. It wasn't the right thing to do and have other girls over, but it's the past, whatever."I have another room London, you and Jada should sleep in there." I offered.
"No, it's -"
"Please." I met her eyes. They were beautiful and damn did I miss them.
"Alright" She gave a small smile showing that deep left dimple that I missed.
"Good. I can make dinner." I followed her into the bedroom.
She paused, "Zyale. You can't cook." She chuckled lying Jada down and tucking her in."I can t -" I was cut off.
"Mommy? Daddy?" Jada opened her big hazel eyes. "Do you guys love each other again?" She gave a cheeky smile.
"I never stopped loving your mommy princess." I spoke kissing her head.
"I missed you daddy" Jada touched my cheek then touched my lip piercing.
"I missed you too." I kissed her head once more.
"Aye! Whada 'bout mommy?" London pouted.
"I love you too!" Jada reached for her hand.
"You better!" London playfully stuck out her tongue. "Go back to sleep baby, you look tired" She kissed her cheek.
"Alright mommy. Night night daddy, night night mommy" She yawned. We both placed kisses on her face and watched as she slept.
"You've done an amazing job London." I hugged her.She tensed up then gave in. "Thank you Zyale" She hugged back.
She looked up at me and tears traced her eyes. "I actually missed you" She smiled through her tears, that's when I saw the pain I had caused.
"I'm so sorry L -"
"It's okay." She tucked her head back in my chest.
I stroked her hair and sighed. "I love you London, I really do."
She looked up and bit the inside of her cheek, "I know."It pained me that she didn't say it back but I wouldn't either if someone put me in her position.
"Wanna go cook?" I kissed her head gently.
"Yes, since you can't" She teased getting out of my embrace.
I followed behind her, "Girl please"
She laughed one of those laughs that I haven't heard in a while. It was a real laugh and it brought memories of when I used to be the one making her smile...Four Months Later (London's POV)
I grabbed Jada out the carseat and placed her in the shopping cart. "Mommy, I want superman gummies"
"Alright baby" I smiled placing my purse near her in the cart.We were at Stop and Shop. Jada's favorite Supermarket. We entered and was greeted by an old man with silver facial hair. "Hello" I smiled and continued.
I stopped in the meat aisle and picked up some chicken for cooking, then went on to the vegetables. I felt like I was being watched but shrugged the feeling off.
Once I entered the snack section I felt the feeling return. I placed Jada's superman fruit snack in the cart and looked over my shoulder.
There was a dark skinned guy, pretty big, he looked so familiar but I couldn't place my finger on it.
'That night' My subconscious shouted.
'What night?' I spoke to myself.
'Him!' The line between me and my inner self went dead.Who?
