Prologue:
Heavy breathing hung out of Kurama's lips as his knees wobbled him back to his apartment. He collapsed onto his bed as sweat poured down the side of his neck.  His knees felt like a million needled were hammered into it. His back ached and screamed in pain. His wings were worn out from the long travel back home from Izumo. Kurama was able to return an important accessory used to keep Miasma which were entrances to the other world under control. The accessory belonged to the great Ookuninushi who was over joyed to retrieve his lost beautiful item. After a long overly dramatic "thank you" he gave Kurama a gift in return. A ring. It was a simple looking ring. A simple gold color with gleaming silver streams wrapping around the outside. Although it was a simple design, it certainly wasn't a simple old gift. If you hover the hole of the ring over someone and take a peek into the hole, you can read one's heart. You can read the true love hidden deep inside of a person's heart. He twirled the ring around in his hand. Why would Ookuninushi give him this useless piece of tin? Why do I even need it for? His thoughts blurred into darkness due to his lack of energy. Maybe tomorrow I will find some use of it... He thought as he shifted into dreamland.

The actual story (Nanami pov):
"Tomoe! Why didn't you wake me up!?! I'll be late for school again!" I screamed  as my right foot slid across the wooden floors. My body lifted into the air as a high pitched scream escaped me and my face slammed flat again the cold ruff floor. "Ouch..."
"It's because your stupid lazy head won't react and snap you awake when I try to wake you up!" Tomoe growled as he stomped out of the kitchen and noticed me doing a face plant on the ground. He sighed and threw me up onto my feet. "You're such a pain... So clumsy...." He mumbled under his breath not noticing that I was able to hear. I felt a sting pierce my heart. "Hurry up and eat your breakfast before it gets cold!"
"Nanami-chan! I'm so sorry I didn't wake you up today! I was forced by the bully Tomoe to clean the entire garden by my self!" Mizuki sobbed as he raced to my side. Today seemed like another crazy day!

Kurama prov:
Another day if school...? The school never had a famous person as a classmate (not to mention that I'm actually SUPER famous) and doesn't know how tiring it is for us to work and go to school at the same time. And that's excluding the crazy and exhausting journey at Izumo yesterday... Speaking of Izumo, where did I put that ring? It might come in handy today. After finding the ring which was hidden under my bed, I gobbled down breakfast and head straight to school in my expensive gleaming hot red car.
A body shoved into me from behind nearly knocking me over. I look over to see who it was. Nanami!
"sorry Kurama!" She shrieked trying to pull me up. I swatted her hand away.
"Don't worry about it. Just be careful next time." I said. That's it! I could use the ring to see if Nanami loves me better than that stupid fox! I started to nervously hunt my pockets for the ring. I know that it would probably say that she loves the fox but maybe, just maybe. My fingers were drenched in sweat as it shivered while holding up the ring. I just have to move it slightly to the... CRASH! A sharp elbow punched my face piercing me in pain. The ring slipped through my sweaty hands as my chin hit the concrete. Hard.
"Ah! Kurama-kun! Sorry! Ami slipped!" A cute soft voice claimed. My eyes scanned the figure that smacked me in the face with their deadly elbows. A worried face of Ami was peering over me. "Kurama-kun!" She screamed grabbing my shoulders and started shaking it rapidly. My eyes turned into spirals.
"Agh!" I managed to slip out as I caught my breath during the terrifying shake caused by Ami. It felt like an earthquake!
"Kurama-kun?" Ami released my shoulders and my head smacked against the concrete. "Oh good! You're ok! Sorry about earlier..." She turned away as her face reddened like a tomato. It didn't seem like she noticed that she dropped my head on the concrete when she let go of my shoulders.
"It's ok..." I got to my feet and straightened myself out. "Be careful next time! Sorry but I gotta go!" I marched my feet towards the classroom. I got to go see Nanami and that cat eared idiot that follows her around like a duckling. We'll see who she likes better, Tomoe.
