How I am now wheelchair bound you ask? Well I will tell you what happened, now get yourself comfy it might take a while.
It first started when I lost my job and was searching our local newspaper for current job listings. I looked at all the positions but none of them seemed of any of interest to me. Untill I read the back of the paper and in fine print it said, a job was open for an assistant manager at a place called the Grinder Diner. I thought that it payed well so I called them up and got the job on the spot, no interview, no résumé, no nothing. I thought the job seemed kind of sketchy but I decided to go to the diner anyways.A few days later, it was Monday morning and it was time to start my first day of work. I headed out to my car and drove to the Grinder Diner. When I arrived I stepped out of my car and entered the diner, as I walked inside the smell of grease and sweat filled my nostrils almost making me gag. I was handed my uniform by the manger and changed into it. The uniform was a putrid green color and had multiple stains from a former employee spilling what looked like mustard and ketchup all over it. I was disgusted by it and complained to my manger about it, he was too busy talking to another worker that he either ignored or didn't hear me. I worked for hours until five o'clock rolled by, then I changed back into my normal clothes and went home. "Nothing unusual about this job, maybe they just needed workers on the spot" I mumbled to myself while reclining in my chair.
Tuesday afternoon, just another day at work nothing strange happened.
When the next day arrived, I was feeling kind of worried about this job, I just knew something didn't feel right about it. I went to the Grinder Diner like usual and parked in my normal spot. There was only one other car in the parking lot which was odd since there was always at least three cars there at all times until five. I walked in the door and inside I found no workers only the manger there. He told me that no one showed up today and I being a gullible person believed him. I put on my uniform and went to the kitchen to start working when all of a sudden I saw a few drops of something red spattered on the wall. I started to wipe it off , when all of a sudden I heard a large pounding clank sound. Then I saw nothing but pure darkness.
After quite a while, I was able to open my eyes and actually see. I looked around and saw blood everywhere, on the floor, on the ceiling, and on the walls. I looked down and noticed my arms were bound together by rope but my legs were free, so I pushed myself with my feet to another part of the room. This area of the room seemed normal until I noticed a pile of bodies in a large box in the corner. On the box read a note that said "for Grinder Diner usage only", I wondered what they meant by it. Then I returned back to the side of the room I first came from.
Later on, I saw what looked to be the manager walk in the room. "well don't try any games with me or you will become one of them" He snarled to me as he pointed to the box of bodies I investigated earlier. I didn't reply but nodded to him instead, he then slapped me as hard as he could and laughed in my face. I wanted him to back away from me so I spat in his face, he grabbed my arm tightly digging his sharp nails into my skin and dragged me to another part of the room. He lifted me up and placed me on my back onto a table, after he did that he grabbed some more rope sitting on a counter nearby. I wanted to get up and leave but I didn't want to risk him seeing me so I just laid there. The manager spread my legs open and tied my ankles to the legs of the table. My heart was racing, I was terrified he going to rape me then kill me. He reached into his pocket and grabbed a knife out, he taunted me with it by flashing its shiny blade in my face. I screamed in fear because I had no clue what he would do next. The moment I screamed I could see his once frowning face, smile psychotically. I shouldn't have screamed and that is a mistake I deeply regret.
