THIRD PERSON

It is a sunny Friday morning and Y/n is pumped up. She loved the occasional chirps of birds and the singing of the cicadas in the morning though she had to prepare for school.

"Good morning Y/n chan!" a voice said and the girl turned to look at the volleyball captain with his best friend.

"Good morning guys." she greeted with a hand up.

"How was your sleep?" Oikawa asked and they all continued walking towards their main floor.

"It was fine, how about you?" she asked and the teen beamed, "I had a goodnights sleep, how about you Iwa chan?" he asked the male beside him.

"Fine I guess." he muttered and they walked to their own classrooms to which Oikawa turned towards the h/c head. "See you later Y/n chan!"

"Yeah sure." the girl nodded and entered her own classroom.

Eating lunch together with the two volleyball players became even more common. That's why every last subject before lunch made Oikawa restless and made Iwaizumi annoyed at his restless antics. Even though it was for an hour, Oikawa was needy for Y/n's presence and he wanted it badly. I mean, he has fallen for the female teen, hard. And even a small bit of her presence would drive him nuts. When he once saw the small smile that the blonde exposed, it made him fall harder even more.

Right now the three were eating peacefully on the rooftop, enjoying their time together.

"Y/n chan, are we friends?" Oikawa asked and munched on a piece of omelette as he looked at the girl sitting beside him.

"Don't ask me, in just one day you got me hanging out with you." the blonde said as she ate her rice, "Nice right?" Oikawa asked.

"Nope."

"Anyway Y/n chan, why don't you have friends?" Oikawa asked and the girl looked away sharing her silence around their atmosphere.

Oikawa finally realizing his mistake nervously laughed and apologized for asking as he then brought the conversation to another topic.

"Sooooo, are you gonna be our manager?" He asked and the girl looked at the sky.

"Who knows." she said coldly and packed her things then stood up, "Eh? Are you not gonna finish your lunch?"

"I lost my appetite, I'll go ahead." she stated and walked away while Oikawa and Iwaizumi watched her leave.

It was still too early to finish lunch but she didn't mind. Hearing about having friends made her lost her appetite and act cold around people.

Of all topics why does it have to be friends?

And of all people, why does it have to be Oikawa? Why does he have to be the one to ask?

Honestly, the h/c head was thinking about being a bit nice to the volleyball captain but when he mentioned about the friend thingy everything went downhill.

The past was not something easy to forget.

Her eyebrows slightly furrowed as she walked through the hallways. She tried to appear less intimidating as to avoid scaring her schoolmates when she suddenly bumped into someone.

"I'm so sorry senpai!" the student said and bowed.

"I'm sorry too, I wasn't looking where I was going." she said and bowed slightly

"No, it's my fault senpai." they said but when they looked up they saw that their h/c haired senpai was gone.
