Chapter 4: Vacation calling

We were now on the school grounds where our limo had just parked.

Nick was still being a pain, and all I wanted now was to get away from him.

"Let's go" Evan said as he came closer to the car.

Everyone went in well, except me, Emily had brought some of her friends with her to the house, guys I must add. I told them to go ahead

that I would head home a while after because I wanted to go to the book store. Kevin decided to stay behind and help me out, something

that no guy had ever done for me and something that my brothers found weird.

we walked towards the book store in silence, I wanted to ask him if he had a nice first day, but I couldn't the words would not come out

of my mouth, all I could hear was his heavy breathing and the sound of our foot-steps on the side walk. Our hands kept on brushing

against each others which spend shivers down my spine.

"SO how was your day?" Kevin asked.

"It was okay, did you know you have the most obnoxious brother?"

he chuckled and put his fingers through his hair, and I could see his arm muscles. That boy had perfection written all over his body. "I

lived with him longer than you have so trust me i Know that more than you do."

I giggled and the silence came back.

Once we reached the book store, I heard the entrance bell chime, Kevin had opened the door for me and let me in right before he

followed me placing his hand on my smaller back until I went to Amanda, the book store owner to ask her if she had received new books.

She showed me the next collection, it had several romance books, some sci-fi, documentaries.

"Help yourself Eli" she said gesturing to the collection.

I picked out several books but I couldn't get the last one I wanted was at the top of the book shelf. "Safe haven" that's the book I

wanted.

Kevin came by my side with a book in his hands.

"Did you know that the sun light takes 8 minutes to get to the earth? If one day the sun turns off, we will be abble to have it's light for

8 minutes after it died." He said pointing at the physic book he was holding.

"Into physics I see." I said still trying to get the book by jumping up and down to get it.

He had his eyes glued on the book when he took the book I wanted from the shelf effortlessly. He handed it back to me and then he closed

his book.

"Damn, that's a lot of books." He said, his eyes were about the size of a golf ball as he said that.

I smiled at his remark and took all seven books to the cashier.

"Are you taking that one?" I asked him.

"Nah, I won't read it, it seemed good for the moment. But sweetheart I don't read."

"there's a lot you can learn from a book." I told him as a mater-of-factly.

"You can also learn from a Television, plus it has images."

"Sorry forgot you were still in first grade and couldn't read without pictures." I rolled my eyes and the cashier was giggling and told me

my total.
