Hermione's POV:

"You're an anigmus?" I asked.

Draco the snake didn't say anything.

I realized that he looked like the Slytherin snake.

He was silver.

I just stared until he returned to human form.

"How did you like that?" He asked.

I just stared.

He laughed.

"Alright then." He said, pulling me into a hug.

"I've never told anyone." He whispered into my hair.

"Why?" I asked as he pulled away.

"I didn't want to stand out. I tried to stay under everyone's radar." He said.

"Oh." I replied.

"Promise you won't tell anyone?" He asked.

"I promise." I said.

He stuck out his pinky finger.

I just stared at him.

He laughed.

"Its a pinky promise. It's something muggles do." He said.

I laughed too.

I hooked my pinky around his.

"So if you ever can't find me here, just look for a silver snake." He said.

"Alright." I said.

"Wait." I said.

"Hhm?" He asked.

"Why do you look so much like the Slytherin snake?" I asked.

He sighed.

"Oh, that." He said.

"Sorry." I said.

"No, no, its alright. I'm a direct descendant of Salzar Slytherin.

Sorry if I spelled his name wrong!

"Why is that a bad thing?" I asked.

"He was, to speak truthfully, quite the arse." He said, looking at me.

I smiled.

"Guess that's where your father gets it." I said.

He laughed.

"Yea." He said.

"Any other famous descendants on your mother's side?" I asked.

"Hufflepuff." He said.

I burst out laughing.

"Your mother was a Hufflepuff?" I asked.

He smiled.

"No. She was a Slytherin." He said.

"Oh, well." I said.

"Yea." He said.

"If you hadn't been sorted into Slytherin, what house would you want to be in?" I asked.

"Good question." He said.

"Around sixth year, I really wished that I could be in Gryffindor with you. When I was under the sorting hat, I wanted to be in Gryffindor, but at the last second, I thought of Slytherin. That's what I got put in." He said.

"I never realized how you got nicer at Hogwarts." I said.

"That's alright. No one did." He said.

I pulled him into a hug.

"Oh. I forgot that I'm taking you somewhere special today." He said.

I brightened up.

"Where?" I asked.

"You'll see." He said.

He covered my eyes with his hand and apparated.

We landed on the ground.

Draco pulled his hand away.

I gasped and smiled at the same time.

It was the soup restaurant, where we first kissed.
