Chapter one: StarStruck

I used to have a lot of friends but they weren't really my friends because in the end, they left me. This is my last high school year and I want to make this memorable. I want to make a lot of friends! I used to live with my auntie because my own parents gave me away when I was just a baby so I never got a chance to see their faces. My auntie was forced to adopt me because I was just a baby and I needed an adult's care but now that I'm sixteen, she told me to get a job so that I can move out. I'm working at an ice cream store, it's not that famous and the salary is not that high either but hey, it's better than nothing. Oh my Gosh! I almost forgot!

My name is Emily Wings Meili. Yeah, I know Meili is a weird last name but what can I do about it? I can't pick my own last name. By the way, I'm arranging my stuff because tomorrow will be our first day of classes! I'm excited because I can feel it. This year's going to be different. It's going to be better and brighter. Oh well, I'm done with my stuff. It's time to have my beauty sleep and be beautiful tomorrow! Nah, I'm just kidding.

I turned off the light, laid on my bed then drifted to sleep.

The next morning, I woke up late so I took a quick shower, changed into my school uniform then ran downstairs. I grabbed a piece of bread then ran outside. “I'm so late!!” My hair was still dripping wet and messy. I ate my bread while running to school. Thankfully, the gate was still open so I went in. I ran to my classroom. Oh no...There's a teacher already. I went in through the back door. I crawled to my seat very quietly...Someone was introducing himself in front but I didnt care, I just wanted to sit on my seat...without being noticed. I sat on my seat and sighed in relief that the teacher didnt notice me. At least, that's what I thought...The teacher suddenly called me and said “Miss Meili, would you like to tell us why you were crawling?” She asked me with a devil's smile.

I stood up and said confidently “I was late and I didnt want to be noticed so I crawled.”

She frowned and pointed at the door. “Out! And detention!” She angrily shouted. Geez...what's her problem. I walked out of the room then sat outside the door. “This is freaking annoying.” I pouted since it was my first day of class.

People started going out then I stood up and went along with them, hoping that the stupid annoying teacher won't notice me. I would have went to the Cafeteria if a guy didnt grabbed my hand and stopped me. I looked at him and frowned since I was hungry. He just laughed at me and said “Won't you show me around?”

I stared at him “............” Do I even know this guy? I sighed and answered him “No, i'm hungry so let me go and eat.”

He pouted cutely. Wow. I didnt noticed but he's very cute. His dark hair was in its perfect shape and those ocean blue eyes were shining. He'd be my prince charming but he's not blonde. He smiled at him and said “You don't know me.” He chuckled and introduced himself “I'm Na--” He paused a bit then continued with a smile. “Aiden Mckenzie.”

I didnt hear him clearly..what did he say? Maiden?...”Naiden?”

He chuckled then shook his head “It's Aiden..” He smiled.”Nice to meet you...though it'd be nicer if I knew your name.”

His smile...It's...heart melting. I can't take my eyes off his eyes either. He's so handsome. I shook my head, shaking off my dirty thoughts of him. What the hell am I thinking.

He looked at me and asked “Your name?”

“It's Emily Wings Meili...”

He laughed loudly all of the sudden so I frowned at him. I think he's lost it..is my name that funny? I mean..I know Meili is a bit funny and Wings is funny..because the name 'Wings' is just weird. When he was done laughing, he asked me again “So, wanna show me around?”
