*Zeke's POV*

"Well, well, well looks like we meet again" I spoke as I looked down at the sorry excuse of Kai Parkerson, son of the Vampire hunter. My enemy.

I won't lie I was quite surprised when I came across him, battered and bruised on the ground clinging onto a boulder for his life.

The smart and proper thing to do was to let him die a very painful death as I was told by my father that newly turned vampires that don't make it have the worse deaths imaginable.

But strangely, I couldn't let him die. For some odd and idiotic reason I had a twinge of sympathy for the boy who was situated in front of me.

I didn't know why I felt any sort of empathy towards him but I just kept telling myself that he hadn't suffered enough... Well at least not until I got my hands on him.

"Ran out of words have we?" I raised my voice harsher as I kicked him hard in the stomach.

He let out a weak squeal and whimpered closer to the rock as if it would protect him. Nothing could protect him now, his family had crossed me and now he would pay the price.

I tried not to laugh at the state of him. Blood everywhere over his clothes and his skin so white he would scare an apparition away.

"Well little hero, shall we continue on our new journey" I smiled evilly knowing exactly what I was going to do next.

"I must say its kind of disappointing that you didn't attack your family, would of made it easier for me! Well why don't we stop by your house on the way and have a little chat with your sweet sister Nora?"

"D-don't touch N-n-nora" he stuttered while blood rushed out of his mouth like a poisonous river. He was running out of time and soon enough he'd be a rotten corpse.

I wasn't prepared to let my new toy go to waste, I could come and torture his sister some other time.

The only good thing about were Kai lived was that it was deserted, which meant roaming humans who felt adventurous climbing steep cliffs. It was too risky to feed in his fathers compound so  I threw his frail body over my shoulder and ran to a deep forest a few miles away.

With every step I took I could feel his body growing heavier and heavier meaning he was dying quicker than I had anticipated. I picked up the pace determined to not let him die. If he was going to die it was going to be by my very hands.

I felt my anger rise as he coughed blood all over my new white shirt that I had previously bought at a good price. I then smiled when I realised that his life was now in my control and my ruined shirt didn't seem that upsetting anymore.

That's the thing about humans and vampires, we have all the control and humans? Well they're just a tiny speck of nothing. I almost laughed at the ridiculous idea that human beings think they're the top of the food chain and invincible, Kai proved how shit they truly are.

Eventually we reached the top of the forest which was mostly uphill. I roughly threw Kai off me were he stumbled and fell on his face. I looked on at him in disgust at how weak and useless he was. I was wasting my time.

"Well little hero, maybe we should call you Bambi" I laughed as he struggled to pull himself up.

He tried to reply but all that came out was more rivers of blood, getting thicker each time. I decided my play time was over and now the real fun was about to start.

I could smell their scent from where I stood. A couple, hiking the mountains in pursuit of "monsters" oh, they'd get monsters alright. Curiously killed the cat was what my parents used to say, I grinned to myself thinking about the events that would unfold.
