A New Comrade

I waited for Jessica to come back. I looked at my bandaged arm. Jessica did an alright job of bandaging me up. I find her actions sweet, even though it was a moderately good job. I look back to the sink for the water. I warm up my arm by making my markings glow a bright light blue. I move my fingers to manipulate the water to me. I make the water float in mid air and fly over to me.  I I drink from the water in front of me. I can tell that my fluid level is down. If I want to continue to use my powers then I must keep my fluid levels up. Plus running makes me lose fluids for obvious reasons because of sweating and not replenishing my fluids would result in my body shutting down.

God am I boring. No one cares about that except for me and scientist. 

" Seven, do you think you can fit into a large?" Jessica shouted from the back. " Also, do you mind if change? I have to go to the salon today." I replied a sure as I felt eyes on me. I looked back as Jessica threw a shirt to me. I caught the shirt in mid-air. I lowered my hand and saw that Jessica was standing in the  doorway with her shirt and no pants. I quickly looked away as the water inside me started to boil. I shouldn't be looking at anyone like that.

" Seven, what are you doing now?" Jessica asked as she leaned against the door frame. I remained facing away from her. " I am waiting for you to finish dressing." " No, do you have anything planned for today?" I shook my head no. " Oh, well do you want to hang out today?" I looked back to her. " What is 'hang out'?" Her face turned from a smile to a face of doubt." It means to be together and have fun." Fun, interesting. I haven't had fun in a while. The last time I had real fun was when I received my first book. 

" Well, I find you interesting," Jessica spoke up as she came closer. " And you don't have anything planned for today. I thought it would be a nice treat since you risked your life to save Rusty." I looked at the slobbering dog sitting my leg. "Rusty huh? You're a handful." I joked as I scratched behind Rusty's ears. " I didn't risk my life for Rusty. I just find these animals interesting. They are loyal to the end for their masters." Jessica slightly tilted her head. " Well, I understand. But do you want to hang out with me today?" I thought about Jessica's intentions. She has no reason to actually 'hang out' with me. Well, I believe she is interested in me. She believes I have saved Rusty's life. She likes my markings which I do not know why.

" Why are you so interested in me?" I asked as I looked to Jessica. She seemed to be unnerved from my question. She shifted while she stood. With the shift of her body, I could see a small peak of her grey briefs. 

Well, that's nice. Real nice. Wait no. I can't think like that. That's not good.

" Well, I've never seen you before. I have seen so many people in town but I've never seen you. And we are a small community. Plus, you seemed cool when I first saw you." Her voice started to get quieter. " Plus you were really pretty" she mumbled. I was surprised at her words. I guess she likes me somewhat. Well, I believe I can humor her and make her ... happy. " Ok. We can go and hang out. What do you have planned for today?" I asked

Jessica quickly smiles and runs up to me and wraps her arms around my neck. " Oh thank you Seven. It'll be so fun. First, we can go shopping. I'll postpone my hair appointment till later. And afterwards, we can do your hair and watch movies." I grumble as Jessica practically strangles me. It's kinda cute how she's so excited. " Hey, why don't you change already? You're still in your dirty undershirt." I made a small grunt and started to take off my shirt. By the time I reached up to my waist, Jessica grabbed my hands. I looked to her. Her cheeks were flushed red. I guess she was embarrassed for me. " Where's your bathroom?" I asked as I let go of my shirt. Jessica pointed to the door that was next to the tv in the living room. I nodded and left the kitchen for the bathroom to change.
