1. The Girl

She was sitting next to me, caressing my cheek with her fingertips. Her scent wrapped around my nose, and I grabbed her hands softly. Her lips curved into a soft smile, and her eyes blinked slowly, her lashes fanning out flirtatiously. I was under her trance, unable to look away. She was so beautiful. I reached out to touch her face and felt her skin burn against mine. I pulled her close, until our lips were only an inch away.

Could a dream seem this real? Her touch, her scent, her warmth. Everything was so surreal. I just couldn't make myself believe that she was here next to me, in my arms.

"Won't you...kiss me?" she whispered and looked at me from underneath her eyelashes. She was so provocative, and I wanted her. Her lips invited mine, and I pulled her closer.

"Daren, it's time to wake up," my mother called. There was a knock on the door, and I felt annoyed that she was interrupting my desires.

I ignored her, and the angel in my arms smiled. I kissed her then, and the door opened. I heard a gasp, and the angel pulled away slowly. She smiled as she nuzzled her head in my neck.

"Daren Kim! What do you think you're doing?!"

When I turned my attention away from the girl, I saw my mother standing in the doorway. She had her hand placed over a heart as she tried to breathe. I blinked a couple times, and then I realized this wasn't a dream. I sat up immediately, realizing too late what a wrong move that was. I was shirtless, and perhaps pantless as well. The girl next to me was dressed in a lavender, lacey satin slip.

"Mom, I...this isn't what it looks like," I tried to explain. It would have been better if I could get up and grab her by the shoulders, but I was afraid that I would be walking around in my birthday suit.

Mother gasped. "Not what it looks like? From where I'm standing, I can see that you were holding her in your arms!"

"Mom!"

As if to make matters worse, my father came into the room. He was speechless as he took in the current situation. I was pretty sure he was speechless at the almost-naked girl beside me. On reflex, I pulled the comforter over her and pushed her behind me. She sent tingles down my spine as she touched my shoulder, kissed it, and rested her head.

My father wrapped his arms around my mother and tried to pull her out of the room. He called for the maids and they took her away. He gave me a last look and warned me, "Son, I have nothing against you bringing a girl home, but be a little more cautious next time." He closed the door every easily behind him.

I sighed and rubbed my face with my hands. I turned around to face her, and for the first time, I got a good look at her face. I had only seen her lips and her eyes, but her face caught me off guard. Who would have known this seductress could look so young? She looked like a girl in her early teens with her baby face and large brown eyes, but her full lips contradicted that. Her dark hair flowed down to the middle of her back, another contradictory to her white skin. She was so beautiful.

"Who...are you?" The words left my mouth before I could stop them. She was in my bed. A girl wouldn't go to another man's home if he hadn't called for her. God, I must have been drunk to the point that I'd bring a random girl home. Most importantly, I must have made love to her. I groaned and covered my face with my hand.

She pulled my hand away from my face, caressing my cheek once again. She smiled as I looked at her. "Don't worry," she reassured me. "Nothing happened between us." Her voice was like honey, so sweet and serene.

My eyes narrowed. "I don't understand."

Just then, the phone rang. She chuckled as I put my head under the comforter to check, sighed as I saw that my pants were still on, and got up to get the phone across the room. She chuckled and caressed the comforter as it was my face, keeping her eyes on me.
