Part 8

"Maia, which top do you want to wear today hunny the one with the rainbows or the one with the minions?" I asked as I attempted to get her dressed quickly and in time for her dads arrival.

"Daddies," she said being uncooperative.

"Maia you spilt coco pops down it and its dirty you can't wear that!" I shouted due to my patience being worn very thin.

"I want to wear daddies!" She shouted back, the little madam. I huffed at her sudden outrage and gave in.
"Fine but you have to wear a clean one not that one!" I said and she smiled pretty pleased with her work.

I grabbed a blue tie dye top with a yellow smiley face on from his wardrobe and put it on her, tucking it into her leggings so she wouldn't trip over it. Once she was dressed I sent her down stairs with Nat so that I could get myself ready. It was sunny out so I grabbed a white sundress, my denim jacket and black converse. I then did my usual makeup and left my hair natural. Checking the time it was 11:00 am, Anne said that Brad's train was due in at around 11:15 so they should be home around 11:30. I made my way downstairs only to hear Anne, Nat and Derek talking in the front room.

"Maybe she should go," I heard Nat say. Are they talking about me? I walked in and looked at them confused.

"We were just saying, why don't you and Maia go to pick Brad up from the station?" Anne suggested. Right in front of Maia.

"Yes mummy can we get daddy from the choo choo pwease pwease pwease," she said jumping around.

"Fine but you have to be on your best behaviour Maia! Promise," I said and she replied with an 'i pwomise'. "Right then we'd best be off then, I will see you in a bit," I left the house closing the door behind me, I then got Maia into the car and all belted up before getting my self in and ready to set off.

We arrived at the train station at 11:15 just in time. As we walked around to the entrance there was a massive crowd of people. I pulled Maia onto my hip and held her close.

"Excuse me miss, are you using the train station or waiting for someone?" A security guard asked me.

"I'm picking up my boyfriend," I explained, it was just easier than saying my exboyfriend who is the father of my child.

"Good try, now can you and your little sister please stand to the side with all of the other fan girls please," the security guard laughed rudely.

"Excuse me? For one this is my child not my sister and also I'm not a fangirl I'm genuinely here to pick up my boyfriend who yes happens to be in a band," I explained.

"You expect me to believe that?" He laughed again before pulling me round the corner so that I could stand with all of the girls at the exit. As we turned the corner the girls saw us coming and started screaming. Maia buried her head in my neck and covered her ears.

"OH MY GOD LEAH IS HERE WITH MAIA TO PICK BRAD UP!" One of the girls screamed.

"AW MAIA LOOKS SO MUCH LIKE BRAD," another one shouted.

"I cannot stand in that crowd with a load of my boyfriends fans!" I shouted at the security guard. He realised I wasn't joking and apologised taking me inside to wait for Brad.

"Virgin train from London Euston is now arriving at platform 5," a lady announced over the speakers.

"That's daddies choo choo baby," I said to Maia kissing her on the head.

"Yay," she screamed as she started wiggling to get out of my grip and stand alone. I held onto her hand as she stood next to me. Within a few minutes people began to flood off the train and out onto the streets. I held tightly onto Maia's hand as we waited. Then within the crowd I saw the famous chocolate curls emerge.

"DADDY!" Maia shouted with excitement. I let go of her hand so she could run towards him, as she reached him he picked her up kissing her repeatedly on the head and hugging her for what seemed like a life time.

"What a lovely little surprise," he said as he kissed her once more. Then he looked up and saw me, his face fell with shock.

"Erm hi Brad," I said awkwardly scratching the back of my neck.

"Hi, how have you been?" he asked, still in shock.

"I've been good you?" I asked

"Yeah I've been good erm-" he was interrupted by Maia.

"Are you two going to cuddle or not?" She said crossing her arms over her chest. I laughed and he held his arms out for me to hug him. I accepted and walked into his arms wrapping my arms around his neck as he wrapped his around my waist.

"Sorry to disturb you but I think it would be best if you leave now, the number of fans outside is increasing rapidly and I'm just thinking of the little ones safety," the security guard said causing us to pull away.

"Right yeah, are you ready to go?" I asked Brad and he nodded.

I lifted Maia onto my left hip and wrapped my arms around her tightly. Brad grabbed his bag and stood on my left so Maia was in between us, wrapping his free arm around my waist and pulling me in close.

"Maia it's going to be quite noisy now, so cover your ears," I heard Brad whisper into her ear, she nodded her head and did as he told her. We walked out of the exit and the security guards were right the number of fans had almost tripled. Brad grip on my waist tightened as I tensed up due to the vast amount of fans we were being faced with. Brad ignored all of them and just focused on Maia, as he stared at her making sure she was ok, kissing her on the cheek sometimes. He stroked my side to calm me down as he knew I would be stressing out about Maia. A few minutes later we got to the car park where the fans weren't allowed. So we could have a bit more space now, Brad still kept his grip on my waist though. As we got to the car I got Maia belted up and Brad put his bag in the boot before we both got into the front of the car. I pulled out of the car park with ease as the security guards had the fans held back.

"Well done baby girl, you did so well," I congratulated Maia once we were on a safe road.

"Mummy and daddy are very proud, shall we go to the Disney shop and get you a treat?" Brad asked her and she nodded her head enthusiastically, this made me chuckle. "What are you giggling at?" He asked.
