Marine Life? Sure. Boys? Hell no.
Chapter 1
Ren:
"God, I hate him!" I yelled into my pillow. I wasn't crying- I probably should have been- but I was pissed off. I spit my blonde hair out of my mouth and groaned; I had struck out again.
"Yeah, yeah, guys are bastards," my best friend, Dominique, muttered focusing more on her computer than me. I glared at her and then threw the pillow that I had been using at her. "Hey, what the hell was that for? You made me delete a whole freakin' paragraph!"
"You seem to care more about your damned laptop than me! I helped you when someone broke up with you, you should be helping me!"
"Just give me ten more minutes; I am finishing up The Essay for school."
"Shit! When is that due? I haven't started it yet."
She threw me a look, her golden-hazel eyes filled with disbelief. "Tomorrow," she said and then all of her attention was back on the five page essay. I yelled a few- a lot more- swear words and scrambled off of my bed for my laptop. "I told you four days ago that you should have freakin' started it when I started it, idiot."
I threw a few more explicit Anglo-Saxon at her before I grabbed my laptop and flopped back onto my bed. "First, my 'boyfriend' cheats on me, then you are unsympathetic, now I have a freakin' essay..." I mumbled. "God, if someone ever asks me out again and I say yes, hit me until I realize my big fat mistake. Got it?"
"Mhm, yeah sure."
Thanks, you're so nice, I thought and turned my attention to my essay. I wasn't boy crazy, but I knew that I would find another guy soon, even if my best friend was against all things with a dick.
Dominique:
I blinked, the words of my essay blurring together, and when I opened up my eyes again, I wasn't in Ren's room anymore. Instead I was back in sophomore year, at our old high school. As I looked around, I heard a voice calling my old nickname. "Dee, hello? Earth to Dee."
I looked to my left side, taking in my friend Jasmine, shaking her head at me. "Girl, you've seriously got to quit spacing like that. Seriously."
As I laughed I tossed my long, silky brown hair over my shoulder. "Sorry girls, just thinking about you-know-who," I said while smiling.
As they all laughed, I picked up my bag and slung it over my shoulder. "Girls, you ready?" I said while standing up and waiting for them all to join me.
Once we were all in our regular position, me in the front, of course, we opened the doors and entered the halls. As I waved to all the cute guys, and shunned all of the girls that we 'hated', we came up to a group of three girls. As I put my hand up, my group all stopped.
"Well, well, well. What do we have here?" I said in a sweet voice, but my eyes showing an evil glare.
My right hand girl, Elizabeth giggled once I said that. "Just a few losers, is all," she commented while flipping her hair over her shoulders like a real bitch.
I shot her a look. "Yes, Liz, I already know that." I said while shaking my head. She could be a real ditz alright. I than looked over the girls outfits and hair, laughing as I did so. "What'd you girls do? Go shopping at Goodwill and than go to your mommy and have her do your hair? How cute," I said while making a little pouting face and talking to them like they were three year olds.
One of the girls stepped forward, glaring at me with her aqua eyes. I had to admit, they were pretty. "At least I don't have to act like a bitch. Are you bitter because some guy finally realized that you were more of a bitch than your pretty face was worth?" she said while cocking her head to the side and smirking.
