I looked down at my hands as I held a bag of tea. Mia came up to me and gave me a large smile. "Are you sure you want to buy that bag of tea? Remember how gross it tasted. Like I know it clears up skin but it just tastes so horrible," I said to Mia."Well just because you don't care about not having clear skin doesn't mean that others do. You have to make sacrifices to have nice looking skin. I don't mind taking those sacrifices," Mia said.
She quickly grabbed the bag out of my hands and headed to the counter. I shook my head and looked at the other types of tea while I waited for her. There was teas that supposedly helped with digestion, skin, height, all sorts of things.
As I was looking at the bag, I heard my name being called. I looked over to see Mia running towards me.
"Dude! I just saw your girlfriend!! She was at the register with me and we talked a bit," Mia said.
I gave her an odd look and said, "Who the hell is my girlfriend? I don't have a girlfriend."
"Y'know Lucy, she's kind of your girlfriend. You guys flirt a lot, just saying," Mia said with a smirk.
"Oh my god no Mia. We're just friends not anything else. And we're just joking around not flirting," I said rolling my eyes.
"Oh that's to bad. I guess it makes sense tho. Well where do you want to go?" Mia asked.
"I'm in the mood for food. How about Barthemows cafe?" I said.
"Ya that sound delicious. Let's go get lunch," Mia said.
We started to walk out of the store and headed to the cafe. The cold November weather was starting to set in and I became chilly. When we got there we were seated at a small table. Mia smiled at me and said, "So tell me about Lucy. Like how did you guys even meet?"
"Well we met at the beginning of the year when I went out to watch the sunrise. She's chill and we get along pretty great. I'm surprised she doesn't have a boyfriend," I said.
Mia gave me a small smile and then started to laugh a bit. "Wait, you think she's straight? Omg that's hilarious. Dude she's one of the most unstraight people I've ever met. Don't you remember that girl last year who at breakfast time threw a shit load of glitter in the air and with a megaphone said she was a lesbian? Ya that was Lucy," Mia said.
"Wait what? Really? That would explain why she was acting so weird that one day a couple weeks back. I don't remember her looking like that girl tho. Are you sure it was her?" I asked.
"It was definitely her. She cut her hair and died it that blonde color. It used to be long and brown. It was pretty awesome when she did that. Everyone talked about it for the longest time," Mia said.
"Ya I remember it happening. I just didn't know it was her," I said.
We got our meals shortly after and talked about random things. I was happy that April wasn't there because sometimes I just preferred hanging out with Mia. I was more comfortable around her.
As we were leaving the cafe I saw Lucy sitting on a bench laughing with some friends. I smiled and waved not expecting her to wave back. She smiled when she saw me and waved back.
Mia started to walk towards her so I follow her to the bench. Lucy got up from the bench to give me a hug. I hugged her and whispered in her ear, "I need to talk to you sometime."
After we stopped hugging, she nodded her head and said, "okay, let's talk about it at school."
