Chapter 46: New Neighbors
~ few days later ~
I stood out on the sidewalk, staring at the moving truck in front of the house next door to mine.
Then Robin came rushing out of her house.
But the moment she saw me, she spun around and ran back in her house.
"Hey Rob!" I yelled out.
She stopped and turned around.
"Um, yeah?" she replied back.
"Just because of the recent incident we shared, doesn't mean things have to be awkward between us."
She took a step forward.
"Really?"
"Yeah, I mean, we tried to be together, it didn't work so now we're back to best friends."
"Really?"
"Things are just the same."
Things aren't the same...
She ran to me and hugged me.
"That's awesome." she whispered in my ear.
She pulled away and asked, "So those are our new neighbors, eh?"
I nodded.
"I heard they have a kid our age." Robin said. "Dad wants me to befriend him or her."
Don't get jealous. Don't get jealous. Don't get jealous.
"Cool. We could widen our friend circle or whatever."
And then... the car pulled up.
The door flew open and you'll never guess who came out.
