When we got home, I grabbed the back of Becky's neck and pulled her to me, giving her a long and hard kiss.
"I'm proud of you, Becky." I told her after I released her lips. "You didn't let anyone intimidate you."
"I'm proud of you too." She said. "Most guys would have lost control long before you did." She gave me another deep kiss, which didn't end until we heard someone clear their throat. We pulled away, realizing that we had forgotten to close the door. When we turned to the person, we saw that it was Mr. Jones.
"Anyone care to explain what I just saw?" He asked.
"Mr. Jones? What are you doing here?" I asked, surprised.
"I came to let you know you were right about Richard. After I made that announcement, nearly a dozen students came in and said that he did the same thing to them." He replied. "Now what is going on here? Are you having an affair with your student, Mrs Jackson?"
"Actually, no." Becky told him.
"I'm a little confused here." He said. Then he noticed that she was carrying Linda. "Who is this little girl?"
"This is my daughter, Linda." I told him.
"You have a daughter together?"
"No." I told him. "You remember Sam's twin, Kate?" He nodded. "She was Linda's biological mother."
"So you are a single parent?"
"I was until the first of summer vacation."
"You got married?" He said. "You're still in high school. You're too young to get married."
"I'm also too young to have a baby, yet here she is."
"Fine, I see your point." He said. "But, none of this explains why you two were kissing like you are in love with each other."
"Because we are." Becky told him. "It's not technically an affair if we're married." His eyes bulged out and his jaw dropped.
"You're married to each other?" He asked.
"Yes."
"And this was before you actually began teaching?"
"Yes. I had just graduated a few weeks before."
"Well, normally I would have to remove you from her class, but given the issue with Richard, I'll overlook it as long as your grades aren't effected."
"Thank you, sir." I told him.
"Thank you, Mr. Jones." Becky said. "Honestly, since the incident, I feel safer knowing that he's nearby."
"That may be true, but if the board finds out or his grades suffer, I'll have no choice but to remove him."
"We understand." I told him.
"Good, well I should be getting going." I stood and walked him to the door. When I got back to the couch, Becky leaned against me while holding Linda.
"So how are we going to go about this?" I asked.
"What do you mean?" Becky asked.
"I mean I can't be in your class all day or someone will get suspicious. So what are we going to do so that there will be someone nearby in case something happens."
"Well Sam does have another class with me. And Tommy has his classes separate from either of you."
"Wait a minute. Tommy has two English classes?"
"Well he has A.P. English and creative writing."
"That's surprising. Well, that settles five of the classes. Only two more and we should be okay."
"I think that will be enough. After what happened, I doubt that Richard would try anything. At least for a while."
"I know. I just don't want anything to happen to you."
"It won't. I'll be fine, besides I don't think the others will let him get close enough if he was to show up."
"I know, I just worry."
"Too much." She added.
"It's my job." I told her. "I have a family to protect."
