"Who's that?"My best-friend Elaine Towers asked.
I made my way over to my bay window to see what she was talking about.
"Oh their the new neighbours" I say my voice clearly lacking enthusiasm.

Besides my tone,I really didn't expect people to be moving in besides us.I can already see my best-friend glowing with excitement."You know them yet?"she asked a grin slightly growing on her face.

"Yeah,I met them yesterday.They have a son his name's Cam-"

"Is he hot?"El interrupted me.I rolled my eyes at her.Leave it to her to ask if the guy's hot.

"I guess you could say that."I mumbled

"Introduce me to him"She said a little to excitedly.

"I hardly know the guy,they only just moved in yesterday."

"Oh really?"She said a smirk growing on her face.

"Noo"I said sarcasm leaking deeply from my voice.

"Oh shush!Maybe you guys will fall in love and have tons of little Madden's running around and live in a huge house"I couldn't contain my laugh as I began rolling on floor.

"Y-you think t-that I-I like him?"I repeated my action from earlier.Only now,tears coming to my eyes.

"El he's a jerk"

"He's a hot jerk"She said looking at him unpack boxes through the window.I couldn't help but roll my eyes a second time.

"Besides how do you know he's a jerk if you only just met him yesterday?"
"Whose the one who said 'Dont judge a book by its cover?' "She continued, looking me straight in the eye.

"Uhh me?"I said a little uncertain.

"Correct,so stop being hypocritical and give the dude a chance"

I couldn't help but agree with El.I was being hypocritical and I hated people like that.

"Fine.I'll give him a chance.But I doubt he'll talk to us.He'll probably think he's to cool"

Don't get me wrong.El and I weren't nerds.We were just a random group of three(3) including my other best-friend Drew Peters,but I'll tell you about him later.

We made our way downstairs,our minds clearly determined to do God knows what.As I arrived at the base of the steps I hit into a wall.

Expectations rose as I was waiting to fall on behind.But it didn't come,as two muscular arms wrapped around my waist just in time.

"A-are you ok?"The voice asked.

As I looked up two forest green orbs captivated me as my mouth was left ajar.Being the best-friend El was, she burst out laughing.Soon later so did the guy holding me and then I followed soon after.

"Why are we laughing?"I asked clearly not getting the joke.

"At your face Mads.It was priceless!"She said mimicking the face I did just now,earning a chuckle from the guy still holding me.

"Uhh you can let me go now"I said

"Yeah.Sorry about that.Im Cameron." He said extending his long,muscular arm.

"Im Madden.But you could call me Mads"I said mimicking his action.

"And I'm Elaine.Call me El!"El said a little to excited, once again earning a chuckle from Cameron.

"Since we already did what we were supposed to do,wanna play some C.O.D?"I asked breaking the silence.

"You play Call Of Duty?"Cameron asked with a puzzled look on his face.

"She's the master of C.O.D"El said

"What she said"I added gesturing my thumb in her direction.

"We'll just have to see about that"Cameron retorted a smirk taking over his face.Cameron put his arm over my shoulder and I shrugged it off but he wasn't getting the idea and kept putting it back.So I eventually let him.

El called Drew and they both quickly began warming up to him and so did I.Turns out Cam was really good at C.O.D but being the master that I am, I won.

Years passed and we slowly became four(4) amigos instead of the three(3) musketeers.He turned out not to be a jerk after all,but did have his cocky side. Cam and I became closer than El and Drew were, and let just say he's sweet and cool.

Thank El I gave him a chance.
