Chapter Thirteen: ...Just Know That I Love You

AUTHOR'S POV 

It's early afternoon...a few days before Laurent deploys for Pakistan. He's currently on the patio taking in the sunny day while sipping some freshly brewed tea. Mama is out enjoying the day with some friends while Larry is inside getting ready for work. Larry. Laurent's heart just skipped a beat at that name and he can't help but smile for that is undoubtedly the sweetest name on earth as it belongs to the sweetest person on earth. Since receiving the news, Larry and Laurent have spent as much time together as possible...trying their best not to discuss Laurent's departure and focusing solely on each other. They've enjoyed their time together as always and cherished each second of it...but when darkness fell every night and it was time for sleep to consume them Laurent spent several moments just gazing at Larry's face. The face that he absolutely adores and although the Legion is what he signed up for leaving this face wasn't easy the first time and it certainly won't be easy this time. Trying to not let his emotions get the best of him Laurent blows out a gentle sigh, put the mug of tea down on the patio table then leans on the banister and takes a deep breath in. That's when he hears the most beautiful voice that causes the slight sadness he was starting to feel in his heart to turn into glee...

Larry: "Baby"?

Laurent slowly closes his eyes while releasing a soft smile from his lips. He then turns around and is immediately struck by Larry's beautiful face glowing in the bright sunlight. Still smiling he softly replies...

Laurent: "Hey my love".

Larry: *smile* "Hey. What are you doing out here"?

Laurent: "It's such a nice day so I decided to come out here for a little bit".

Larry: "It is beautiful a day but...are you oki"? 

Laurent: "I'm fine bebe. I just can't believe I leave again in a couple of days. It feels like a dream or something".

Larry: "I know. It does. I just try not to think for that too much".

Laurent: "Me too".

*silence*

Larry: "Well I have to leave for work but..." *walks toward Laurent* "Will you come to the restaurant at 7"?

Laurent: "Sure bebe".

Larry: "Thank you baby. Here's a key".

Laurent looks down at the key in Larry's hand then reconnects eyes as he slowly takes it from him...

Laurent: "Anything for you my love and...welcome".

Larry: *smile* "You can wear whatever you want but just don't make it too casual oki"?

Laurent: *chuckles* "Oki my love".

Larry smiles sweetly and gives Laurent a wink then turns around and proceeds to head for the front door. Then he hears...

Laurent: "Larry"?

The sweet way Laurent coos his name makes Larry in anticipation of what he has to say...but he keeps his cool and turns around slowly...

Larry: "Yes baby"?

Laurent slowly walks towards his love...keeping his eyes connected with Larry's the entire way. Now directly in front of him, his face softens as he tilts his head and whispers...
