Pray for France

Today, July 14, 2016, France was attacked yet again. At least 70 people were killed, at least 100 injured. Today is also Bastille Day, which is the French Independence Day. A truck plowed through a crowd of people watching fireworks and the man got out and started shooting. This is the second time in less than a year that France has been hit, and it breaks my heart. This world needs peace.

Hebrews 12:14 (NIV) says,
"Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord."

Today, and lately, I have NOT seen peace. I've seen death, violence, and hate. So much has happened in the last year that breaks my heart. This has to stop. I saw a post of the Starue of Liberty holding a gun and climbing into the ocean, and the Eiffle Tower is in the distance, and a speech bubble above the Statue of Liberty says, "I'm coming." America needs to step up and help. France was here for us after 9/11, and though we supported France after the attack in November, we need to actually go help them after today!

I lift up everyone impacted by the violence happening right now, but I especially lift up Nice, France as they are mourning the loss of at least 70 people right now. I pray for comfort to them and for peace around the world. God, don't let them lose sight of you.
Amen.

I ask all of you to stop what you're doing and go pray for France. Pray for the world.
