Waverly's POV

My confusion has finally come to validation. Seeing my dads make their relationship official right before my eyes has made me realize- why does it matter who I like? I have the freedom to be with anyone I want. I am not gonna label myself for everyone else's convenience.

I look around the room, black accents and center pieces full the circular tables. All of our friends mingle and chat while dinner is served. I sit beside Lion at our table at the front of the reception, one hand is on his newlyweds and the other on my knee.

"So we eat and then what's cocktail hour?" I look across to my parents. They both look so lovely tonight.

"It's like free drinks and dancing. The fun part." Daddy smiles and tilts his head.

"Don't drink too much.." I warn. They know I get anxious when they drink. I know I've done it, but I actually like them.

"Yes, dear." Lion chuckles and sips his glass.

"What's that?" I study the pink bubbly beverage.

"Champagne. Want to try some?" He offers.

"Um.. babe.." Daddy gives him a look.

"Oh c'mon, its her big day too. A few sips won't hurt." I take the glass from Lion and take a sip. It tastes much more different from the vodka and cheap beer Ali gave me. The alcohol sends a shiver down my body and my face crinkles up.

"I guess it's an acquired taste, love." Dan laughs.

"Yeah.. I will stick to my tea." I smile and shake my head.

Dinner ends pretty soon and the tables are cleared. I haven't really looked around, most of my time has been spent at my own table. Phil is talking to a few of his friends across the room and Dan and I sit here chatting. All of a sudden, the best jokes explode in my little brain.

"What a beautiful wedding." I say aloud. He does pick it up straight away, he just smiles.

"Thanks honey." He rubs my back.

"I mean, for the most part. You're really lucky. It'd be a shame if your groom was a whore." I try not to laugh as I get the 'did you just' look. "But look!" I exclaim and point to the exit at the back of the room. "Haven't these people ever heard of closing the goddamn door? Seriously. The nerve of some people."

"Waverly.." Dan can't even be mad. He laughs and covers his mouth with his hand. "You're mine alright."

"Hey, I saw the chance and took it." I shrug with a smile.

"Brendon Urie would be very proud," he shakes his head. He looks around and sighs. "Hey, have you seen Ali? I haven't seen him all day."

"Uh.." my heart sinks. I can't tell him I uninvited his brother. I'm so shitty. His feelings are gonna be so hurt. "I haven't paid attention to anyone but you two really.."

"Well maybe he'll turn up. Its just weird, he would've come to see us by now." He slumps.

"Yeah." I look down and away.

"Hey, is everything okay? Are you two arguing or something?" He lifts my chin slightly with his finger.

"No.. just thinking about your parents." I lie. It still hurts my feelings though.

"Don't worry about them tonight. Go have fun, I'm gonna chat with some people." And with that, he stands up and waltzes over to some of Phil's family. Everyone by now is dancing, some people are sitting here and there.

A head of blue hair catches my eye and my mood lifts a little more. I kick the stupid heels off and walk over Joey and Daniel's table. I notice Daniel sitting alone so I sit with him.
