Good morning.
Or maybe it's afternoon?
Maybe night?
Anyways, if you haven't already noticed that the handwriting is different than usual, well that's because it's me Calum writing this letter to you instead of Luke.
You're probably wondering what happened to him. Don't worry, nothing's wrong with him. He's just um, well, he's in the hospital.
Don't freak out! Put your phone down. I know you'd do anything for him.
I'm sitting in this uncomfortable hospital chair that Luke made me sit down in so he can tell me everything he wants me to write.
Right now he's telling me to write how he misses you and how he hopes everything is all well. But this is going to be my letter for you, not him.
Okay scratch that. He found out that I'm not listening to him and he threatened me that he was going to kick me out of his hospital room, so everything beyond down this letter is from Luke. Love you, and hope you come visit your four best friends soon! We miss you.
So I had to take the note pad away from Calum because I knew he was going to write complete bull shit in my letter, so I'm sorry about that. But, if you're wondering why I'm in the hospital, well let's just say we decided to play truth or dare with each other and I got hurt falling down and breaking one of my bones, but it's okay. I'll heal quickly.
We have a concert tomorrow, but unfortunately I can't go because the doctor said I'm stuck here until I learn how to walk on crutches.
Remember the first concert me and the boys had? It was just a small one where only twenty people came to watch, but still it was our first little concert.
I remember asking you a day before of our little concert if you wanted to come, and you told me that you were grounded because you and your sibling got in a fight. That lead to your mom grounding you and taking away all your electronics.
I was really sad that you couldn't go because I was soooo nervous. I know you're probably like "Luke that's too much o's in so" but I was really nervous because I wasn't used to performing in front of a lot of people above the number of ten.
But the moment when the owner of the venue announced our band to come out on stage, I had to suck it up and do the best that I can because it's what I've been dreaming of doing. When I said hello and asked how the crowd was doing, I scanned the room to only find my eyes spotting someone familiar.
It was you.
You told your parents that your stomach didn't feel good and that you weren't going to join them for dinner. You snuck out the window and climbed down the tree just to watch us sing and play our instruments.
I immediately felt better and I wasn't nervous anymore. That was mainly because you were there.
But of course I don't feel nervous playing at our concerts anymore. This may seem weird, but sometimes I'll scan the crowd and look for you hoping my eyes will find yours. Of course that never happens, but what if it did happen?
What I'm saying is, will you come and visit us? The boys finally let me write my letters in piece and I'm grateful of that. I don't have to hide in my bunk or hide in a public restroom just to write you a letter.
Sincerely,
Letters from Calum.
Just kidding! Luke got tired of writing half way through so I took over. Calum's back. Back again. Okay, I'm done. Sorry. (:
Sincerely,
Letters from Luke.
