Kate POV

The next morning I had made a routine checkup appointment with a nearby dentist office. However, they were completely booked this week and had to schedule me for next Tuesday. Meaning I had to be extra careful when I chewed, if I bit down just right it hit a nerve. I had called Chris and told him there was no need to bring me to the dentist, that I was perfectly capable of driving myself. He had objected a little but in the end agreed it was my own decision. Currently I am at work finishing Henry's suit. Work here is always good but lately I've missed my old syfy work. It's so much more fun to be totally creative with someone's look than to paint an average suit. "All right Henry you're done." I set down my paintbrush then took a step back to take a look at my work. It looked good! It was the usual outfit for Henry but something about this one seemed to be so much better. "Thanks Kate, hey can I ask you something?" "Yeah what's up Henry?" "Why did you want this job?" His question threw me off guard, I thought for a moment before responding. "I'm a makeup artist, I guess this just seemed like a nice place to work." "Then why don't you ever seem genuinely happy to be here?" Am I that transparent? "Lately I've been missing my old makeup work, that obvious huh?" "Only to someone who knows you I suppose." The door to my room opened and one of the secretaries entered. "You're needed in room eight Henry." She flashed a smile to me and then shut the door. "See you around Kate." Henry said as he began walking towards the door. Before the door shut all the way he turned around to me. "You should really do what you love though." And then he left

I couldn't help but replay Henry's words in my mind over and over. 'Do what you love.' Maybe I could do a little work in my free time. The idea makes me smile and I don't even look where I'm going when I run into a tall figure. "Oh my gosh I'm so sorry!" The figure interrupts me by laughing and when I look up I know why. "Chris!" I say excited I didn't run into a total stranger. "Ha hi Kate, what's got you so happy?" "Well for one I ran into you, and I think I found something fun to do later." "Care to explain?" Chris motioned for me to follow him and we began to take a walk. "So syfy makeup is what got me into this career, stuff from like star trek, or just gorgeous transitions in general, and working at Helix is great but its not what I love ya know?" He nodded and waited for me to continue. "Therefore I'm going to practice my skills. Basically I'm going to go out and buy new makeup and try my hardest to make myself look otherworldly." "That's pretty cool, send me a picture of your finished product, I'm curious to see what you can do now." "Yea of course!"

We kept on walking and chatting for about ten minutes. "Hey did Sebastian mention the Premiere to you?" "The what?" We stopped walking for the time being. "The Premiere of Civil War, I assumed he had asked you to go." This came as news to me. I felt a pang of disappointment at realizing he hadn't asked me but masked it quick. "No I hadn't heard any of it." Chris scratched the back of his neck before looking back at me. "Without sounding too forward, would you care to be my date to the Premiere?" Here came my dilemma. "Chris-" I started but couldn't finish my thought. "As friends of course." He added quickly. 'Dilemma avoided.' I thought. "I would love to Mr. Evans." We began to laugh and walk back the way we came. "Oh when is the Premiere?" I looked up at Chris before unlocking my car. "This Friday, let me know the color you choose okay?" "Yeah I'll text you." And with that I got in my car and drove home.

When I got home I called my cousin, if I was going to a famous Premiere I needed to find the perfect dress. "OOOOOH MY GOSH! Kate you're going to the Premiere of Civil War?! Hot damn why can't things like this happen to me." I laughed listening to my younger cousin squeal over the fact I was Chris Evans date to the Premiere of the newest marvel movie. My cousin is seven years younger than me, making her 17 since I'm 24. "I know I know, can we please discuss what color I should wear?" "Wear a flag! He is Captain America after all!" I laughed alongside my cousin, Dakota, before getting an idea. "Wait!" I said while my cousin stopped laughing. "What about blue? That would go nice with the theme of his character!" I instantly began googling dress shops around my area. "I wish I was there to help you." Dakota said. "I miss you so much." "I can skype you while I look for dresses!" I said trying to lighten her mood. "Maybe you could get a part-time job and save up to come visit me, I can talk to your mom about it. Not that you'd want to get a job but just maybe.." I yanked the phone away from my ear just in time for her to somewhat scream in happiness on the other end. "Great idea! But for now I'm going to start looking for dress ideas for you, Friday isn't that far away you know." "Don't remind me." I said before laughing.
