My Dark, Twisted Side

Poem 2

When someone tells you that you have no chance on your dreams,
Life takes a left turn, not doing what you think it should
"Life should be happy all the time"
That's not what makes you strong,
That's what makes you wrong
Yet, when someone tells you that your dreams are a waste of time,
That's nothing other than a crime
It's not right to shoot down the hope that makes people smile,
Especially not since they thought their hopes and dreams were actually worthwhile.
