"Hello?" You answered you phone after checking the caller ID, finding it to be your friend Feliciano.

"Ciao, (y/n)!" Feli chirped cheerily on the other end of the line. "Do you want to-a go see the fireworks with my fartello and-a me tonight?" You pulled the phone away from your ear a bit before replying.
"Um, I don't know Feli, its been humid lately. Its easier for me to breath inside and-"

"Oh come on~! It'll be fun! And -a you can just bring your inhaler." You were cut off by his cheerful plea. Sighing you brushed some hair out of your face.
               "Alright..."

"Ve~ FANTASTICO! I'll come-a get you around seven!" He hung up the phone with out a reply, leaving you to slump onto your couch. The humidity wasn't the real reason you didn't want to go. Yeah, it did make it a little tougher to breath but your inhaler fixed that issues easily. The real reason you didn't want to go was because Lovino was going to be there too. It wasn't that you disliked him, or even the fact that he was unfriendly towards other men such as yourself. It was because you liked him that you didn't want to go. At some point you had developed feelings for your cheery friend's foul mouthed brother and couldn't get over them.

Glancing at the clock you decided to get ready for the evening, thinking it better to not have the brothers wait when they came to get you. Of course Feli wouldn't mind but you wouldn't want to anger Romano. As you pulled on some jeans, a (f/c) t-shirt and pair of (f/c) sneakers you thoughts drifted to your crush. Somehow you always managed to anger him or at the very least irritate him, and you didn't know why. You constantly tried to be polite, not just him, and tried your best to stay out of his way. It was understandable for him to be irritated when he caught you staring at him a couple times, but that wasn't a constant thing.

Flopping onto your bed you continued to think of why he seemed to detest you so much. Maybe it was because you were such close friends with Feli? Your friend had told you his brother was a bit protective. Or maybe it was because he had caught you staring at him the first time Feli had introduced you two. Would that really be enough to put someone off for, what it seemed like to you, all of eternity?

Taking a puff of your inhaler you opened the door to see the smiling face of Feliciano. "Ciao (y/n)! Are you-a ready to go?" You exhaled and nodded. The next thing you knew you were dragged and thrown into his car.

            "Wait, Feli I-"

"Dammit! Get off-a me you idiota!" Face heating up you looked up to see a fuming Lovino. Feli had thrown you into the car, and you landed almost completely on top of him. Quickly you scrambled off of him and onto the sidewalk.

"I-I'm so so s-so-sorry Lovino!" Squeaking you turned your head away in an attempt hide your blush. Feli, obliviously cheery as always patted your head and stood you back up, trying to make you smile too. You scrambled back to your front door to close it and lock the door. All the while Feli tried to calm Lovino down while he cursed at him, and you. Sighing you trudged back to the car and tried to apologize again. "Loviono I really am sorry, I-"

"I don't care. Just get in the damn car. We're going to be late because of you." He didn't even look at you. He kept his arms crossed and starred irately out the front window. You obliged and got into the back, letting him have space. You wiped at your eyes a bit and turned your head to look out the side window, throwing your small backpack into the other seat. This was going to be a long night.

Needless to say things were a bit awkward for you to start off with. When you three arrived at the lot where you could view the fireworks there weren't many other people there. This was probably because you were an hour early. Lovino refused to speak with you and avoided you as much as possible. Of course this stung a bit and Feli constantly trying to get you two to interact wasn't helping. Luckily for you Feli had invited more people. You smiled as many a familiar face pulled in beside the Vargas brothers' car.
