chapter one~ entering Snowdin

You were walking along through the snow. The cold wind stinging like needles on your face almost made you miss the ruins. But you had the craving for adventure, so you just continued. It hurt to leave Asgore like that, there was no turning back. It was so quiet. All you could hear was the wind and the snow crunching under your feet..... Not only your feet? You turn to see no one else. "Ok. Calm down, you're working yourself up." You thought aloud. As you walked.... The sound continued. You quickened your pace trying to get out of here. When you came across a branch. You stepped over it, to avoid tripping, because of being the clumsy human you are. You noticed a small bridge with a..... fence? around it. *SNAP* you turn to see that the thick branch.. snapped in two. You hurried to the bridge. But as you just reach it, "Human, don't you know how to greet a new pal?... Turn around and shake my hand....." You slowly turn to see an orange hooded figure. You went to shake his hand but noticed a joy buzzer. You made sure to avoid it. He chuckled and pulled the hood down on his sweatshirt. A skeleton with a cigarette.... Ok, now you've seen it all. "Heh, sorry if I startled 'ya kid, didn't mean to rattle your bones." His smile grew a little as you giggled at the pun. "I-it's fine, really, I best be go-" "you're not going to trudge through the snow in that are you?" He interrupted. Noticing you were wearing only your f/c t-shirt, shorts and vans. You were freezing. "..I guess..." You looked up at him. He gave a sigh and took off his hoodie and handed it to you. You hesitated but put it on. When you did he swooped you up bridal style.  "Wha?!-" "heh calm down, it's so you don't get frost bite on your legs.. oh heh. I'm papyrus, by the way" "....y/n" he was so tall. He looked down at you almost the entire time. Neither of you said a word. Eventually you entered a small town, Snowdin. You arrived to a house. And he took you inside, set you on a couch and gave you a blanket. "Sans I'm home. Where are you?" "IN THE KITCHEN" he looked down at you. "Stay here kid, get cozy. I'll be right back." He ruffled your long/short h/c hair and walked in to what you assumed was the kitchen. You could pick up on the conversation.
"Sans, do not freak but I have something to tell you"
"WHAT IS IT BROTHER?"
"I.... Brought a human in the house"
"YOU WHAT? PAP DID YOU CATCH THEM?!"
"N-no but we can't with this one. She's different.."
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN?...."
*cough* "she's my human. So she's a friend..."
"DO YOU THINK I COULD ALSO BEFRIEND THE HUMAN?"
"Heheh, probably. But introduce yourself in the morning. She needs some sleep."
"AWWWE, OK."
"Speaking of sleep, head upstairs I'll be there in a bit"
His human? I didn't agree to this! ugh! You rolled over and quickly fell asleep. Then you wake up to see you were no longer wearing the hoodie. And roll over to see papyrus asleep next to you. *sigh* now was the challenge of getting up. You had to admit he looked kinda cute. You shook away the thought. You tried to easily work your way over him to the floor but just then realized his arms were around your waist. Great, just peachy. You slowly slide his arms off of you and stepped to the floor. You walked in to the kitchen and looked for the cups. "Ah, there they are." You said quietly to yourself. And began to fill the cup at the sink. "And there you are" you spun around to see papyrus in the door way and nearly spilling your drink. "Dang it Papyrus, you scared me!" You snapped. He let out a chuckle then spoke. "Hey, I can explain-" "oh, you have a lot to explain." "Heh, about the couch thing. My hoodie is a comfort item. So, I kinda needed it back. But when I took it off of you and put it on, I noticed that you were shivering. So I layed with you to keep you warm... And fell asleep." A red/orange color dusted his cheek bones. Blush? "Ok, but what about me being your human. We didn't discuss that." He looked shocked at what you said, his blush getting deeper in color. "O-oh. you heard that?.... It was the only thing that would have let you stay..." You gave a sigh and shrugged it off. "What ever, well I'm going back to bed.... 'Night papyrus." "Good night y/n"
