Chapter 1// We Meet Again

I remember the day it all happened. He left me to pursue his dream of being an idol. But by doing so, he left me behind.

Flashback

"Where are you going JJ?" I asked him while his dad put his suit case in the car. "I'm going to audition remember?" JJ said ruffling my hair. "When will you be back?" I asked frowning. "I don't know Shanna, but I promise I will come back for you. I can't leave my best friend behind for too long. Maybe you'll finally hit your growth spurt!" He laughed. I playfully slapped his arm. "It's not finny JJ! What if I never see you again?! I already lost my brother I can't lose you!" I yelled latching onto him. He rubbed my back and said "It's ok. I promise you, I'll be back soon. I won't leave you forever. And it's not like your brothers dead, he's still breathing. Just in another part of the world.." I sighed and cried into his shoulder. "Hurry up we have to leave Jackson!" His mom shouted. "Coming!" He yelled back. I shook my head and held on tighter. "Don't leave me please...." My voice cracked as I sobbed. "I'm sorry Shanna I have to. I promise I'll come back. I promise." He walked to the car and waved as they drove off.

End of flashback

I was thirteen at the time, I'm 19 now. I've gone six years without seeing or hearing from my best friend. He broke his promise, I hate him for it. I will never forgive him, but I know that I'll never forget him. I can still remember that toothy smile. That girly little laugh, and all his lame jokes. I snapped out of my thoughts when my alarm clock went off. I'm late I'm late I'm late!!! I ran into my closet and grabbed my waitress uniform. I work at a "High Class" restaurant in a place near Seoul. I don't really know much about South Korea since I moved here from America, in a small town called Salisbury, Maryland. I came to South Korea to pursue my dream of becoming a professional dancer. But that didn't happen. So I decided on plan B which was to find a good paying job. Which I found on, this Roach infested restaurant. After I slipped on my shoes I sprinted to work. "YAH! You're fifteen minutes late you-" My boss got cut off by someone entering the double doors. His eyes widened and jaw dropped. I gave him a confused look then turned around. It's Got7. I didn't know they were back from tour. My boss fled to the back of the building star struck. I bowed and showed them to a table. They ordered they're food and drinks. I didn't know they're names, just the band. I didn't find looking at the members appearance and names important. As I walked back to the table with their orders I heard that girly laugh. I stopped walking as tears blurred my vision. That laugh, it's so familiar. A tear fell down my cheek but I wiped it away and walked to the table. The laugh got loudee as I got closer. Once I reached the table I heard who the laugh came from. The toothy smile, girly laugh, ridiculous movements. "JJ...." I whispered. The blonde haired boys head snapped up at me. "What did you say?" Tears fell down my face. "J-JJ" I said again. "Where did you hear that name?" He asked. Everyone at the table was confused. "My childhood friend, he left to pursue his dream.... That laugh, toothy smile, the lame jokes, weird movements... You remind me of JJ" I said wiping the tears away. He stood up and walked to me. "What's your name?" I sniffled "Shanna." I said slowly looking up at him. He pulled me into a bone crushing hug while crying. I hugged back tightly, just like when he left. I kept whispering JJ. "I'm here now." He whispered rubbing my back. "Where were you, you promised to come back." I whispered. I suddenly pushed him away. "You're just like my brother! Promising to come back! Promising me that you wouldn't leave! You're no different from him... Breaking promising.... Leaving me behind.... Do you even know what I went through while you were gone?! I was almost raped twice!!! I lost so many people! I wanted to end my life because I couldn't take it anymore! You lied to me! You weren't there when I need you most!" I shouted at him. It had everybody's attention. He tried hugging me but I smacked his arm away. "Don't touch me Jackson Wang. You're a liar... You never came back...." I whispered storming out of the restaurant. "Shanna wait please!" He said grabbing my arm. "No! I'm not going to wait for you any longer! I waited six years for you!!! I stayed alive for you!!! I'm dealing with all this bullying and pain because I thought you would come save me! But you didn't! I guess in your world fame is more important than your best friends life!!" I sobbed and yanked my arm away. I ran out of the restaurant crying. I ran across the street and saw one of my bullies, Mihna. But people call her MiMi. "Hey fatass. Finally running off all the flab?!" I stopped as she yelled at me. She grabbed me by my shoulders and shook me. "Why aren't you answering whore?!" She yelled in my face. Tears fell down my face as I kept thinking of Jackson. I felt a sharp pains on my cheek. She slapped me. I don't care, Jackson was the only thing on my mind. I felt MiMi abruptly let go. I closed my eyes still thinking. I felt arms wrap around me gently. "JJ?" I felt a nod on my shoulder. I quickly wrapped my arms around him hugging him as tight as possible. Sobbing into him shoulder, I realized how much I missed this feeling.
