A Victorian secret

The next day

The mansion was quiet this morning as all members of the house gathered into the main hall to talk about Theo. "As you all know last night we took in Theodore Daniel. He is the warden of Harold Dickinson and he is too be treated kindly." Chris said

"Master may i ask why the child is here should he not be with Master Dickinson then." asked a random servant.

"The reason. The two twin monsters who need a lesson in human rights and manners" Beth said mostly to herself angrily. Everyone looked at her.

"Ignore her she is just a bit mad" Chris said. Nodding everyone went about their business. A room was being made up next to Beth's for Theo. "How could they treat him so cruelly?" Beth asked

"They have no morals and believe they are better than everyone else." Chris said "By the way where is Theo?"

"He was still sleeping when i left the room he should be awake soon"

"Beth" came a small voice. Turning around the pair saw Theo standing there rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. "Good morning Theo did you sleep well?" Chris asked. Theo just nodded.

"Come with me Theo lets get you changed and then why don't we play a game today as Chris has to go to work until the afternoon." Beth said taking Theo hand carefully and leading him back into the room waving goodbye to Chris as they went. Once dressed Theo was given breakfast as Beth had already ate. "Alright Theo what shall we do today?" Beth asked. Theo began to think before shrugging his shoulders. "I don't know" he said softly. Thinking again Beth then said

"How about we help Sarah today" she said. Theo nodded. Finding Sarah was easier said then done. She seemed to be everywhere at once and a while later they saw her outside cleaning the dirty laundry. "Sarah". 

"Hello Beth, what  can i do for you today?"

"Sarah i would like you to meet Theo. Theo this is Sarah my friend" Theo looked up at Sarah.

"Hello Sarah i am Theo"

"Oh he is so cute" Sarah squealed. 

"We have come to help today haven't we Theo" Beth said.

"Yes" With that they all went to the pile of clothes in the tub of water. Grabbing a piece Beth and Theo began to scrub at it. They were all enjoying themselves. Sarah splashed water at the two causing them to splash back. Hanging up the wet clothes was easy except for the fact that the wind had try to blow all of it away. By the time they were finished they were covered in water. Running inside Theo asked if he could help more and they decided to race who could wipe the floor fastest. Getting a mop each they all started on one side of the floor. "Okay whoever gets to the other side first wins" Sarah shouted. The game started and Sarah won with Theo coming in second. Beth came in last as she was going  over both hers and Theo parts. Laughing they did not notice the dark aura surrounding Miranda.

"Okay you three which one was it who decided to get completely wet?" Miranda asked in a deep voice. Sarah and Theo pointed at Beth who glared ta their betrayal. Picking up Theo both Beth and Sarah ran into the gardens to hide until the scary head maid had calmed down. Laughing they decided to play hide and seek and with Theo counting Beth and Sarah hid. "Found you" Theo said tapping Sarah on the shoulder. "Now i just need to find Beth" Searching for her was hard until they heard giggling. Looking up they saw Beth in the tree sitting on a branch. "Found you Beth" Theo said cutely. Beth smiled and jumped down from the branch earning her a clap from both Saran and Theo. She bowed.

"Chris should be back soon. Lets go back inside and change before he comes back" Beth said. Slowly they walked back to the mansion. Making sure that Miranda was not in sight they began to climb the stairs. "So there you three are" Miranda shouted

"Abort mission" Beth shouted. All three of them ran towards the door with Miranda coming up behind them. Just as they reached the door it suddenly opened causing everyone to fall on the person who had tried to enter the house. "Whats happening here then?"
