There she went. Flying down the quiet street that was now being filled with the sound of her black razor scooter crossing paths with the pavement beneath her. She was buzzing along the road, scanning the houses along the right side of the road as she went by.
Suddenly, she gracefully stepped down from her mode of transportation;her long blonde hair dancing with the breeze that tickled her skin.
She walked up a path of small concrete steps that led to a bright blue house, the same color as the glittering lake down the road. It was a beautiful color. She rang the doorbell, but did not have to wait long before large oak door swung inwards to reveal a boy with the most amazing emerald eyes and the messiest black hair on the block.
" Hey April! You're right on time!" He said to the girl who was now labeled as April.
"I was almost late, but don't worry Vince; I'm so glad I wasn't , because I just couldn't miss this!" April replied eagerly with retired the primer face, her blue eyes and his green ones. It's true she had been waiting for this day all year.
They had finally come around, that day when Vincent and April would enter the annual survival competition.Since they were now old enough to enter, they had been extra focused. Training on the weekends, building endurance levels, practicing their running skills, and going to their local forest that was on the other side of the lake. They made their own fishing pole and caught trout,and even built makeshift shelters, but the best part was when at the end of the day they would build a bonfire and roast marshmallows before heading back to their houses.
"Ok; Are you sure that we got all of our stuff for the survival comp.?"April asked.
"Yeah. I think so. Can you think of anything we might have missed?" Vincent replied.
"Well, we have all of our belongings for before, and in between level matches. And since the survival gear is provided, we don't have to worry about that unless we want to bring our own." April stated.
"Well we'll use the stuff there. But I did double check the other stuff, and we're good to go!"
"Great job Vince, well we better bring our packs down to the stop before we miss the bus."
"You're right. BYE MOM! ME AND APRIL ARE LEAVING FOR THE COMPETITION NOW!" Vincent called.
"OK, BE SAFE. YOUR FATHER AND I WILL WATCH YOU TWO COMPETE ON THE TELEVISION. LOVE YOU!" His mother, June, replied.
"OK" The pair yelled in acknowledgement.
The dynamic duo walked outside of the blue house, packs on their backs, and souls filled with utmost excitement.
"Come on April. Let's go survive."
"Yes. Let's. I almost forgot how excited I am."
"Yeah! And it only took us thirteen years on this planet to get here."
And off they were, on their way to the beginning of their newest adventure in the great unknown. Together.

Well thanks to everyone who read this or likes it! This book was something that I started writing in the middle of June in 2015. I was writing on my laptop and I thought that I should translate it onto my watt pad. So I did. I have four more chapters already written on my laptop. And after those are updated I will continue writing on my watt pad.
