OMG I am so sorry to everyone who have been waiting like 4 months for an update, I had major writers block and limited time so I had kinda given up on this... I am dedicating this to Angelpie45 because without her comments on my book I wouldn't have started writing again so thank you. I hope you all enjoy, this chapter is gonna be good for you Lucas lovers but also take into account that Brynn just found out about werewolf's so she is very confused. And now read! Love you all! :)
Brynn POV
Soft inky blackness surrounded me, swirling in elegant shades of midnight and navy. This is so weird, I thought.
My eyes snapped open and I sat up so fast I thought my breakfast wasn't going to stay where it belonged. "Shit," I muttered rubbing my forehead.
"You're awake," I jumped at the sound of Lucas's voice.
"Where am I?"
"My house... You kinda fainted."
"Oh SHIT," my eyes widened as the memory came back, "You're a werewolf."
"Brynn, don't freak out again. Please." His eyes pleaded with me, full lips turned down in a slight frown.
I drew in a long deep breath, crap crap crap shit crap what the hell is going on here!? Instead of blurting that however I asked, "How many of you are there?"
"Umm about 85," he replied resting a hand on my shoulder.
I shrugged off his hand and scooted away trying to ignore the hurt look on his face.
"Brynn you're awake!" I looked to my left to see Lindsey's smiling face.
"Are you a werewolf too?" I blurted before realizing that probably was stupid, what if she didn't even- "No silly! Weres aren't the only supernaturals here!"
"Then... What?" I was thoroughly confused at this point.
"I'm a witch, so is Lacey."
"Shit." This was slowly turning into my most used word.
"Welcome to Fircrest home of witches and werewolf's," I mumbled more to myself than anyone.
"Wait, Lucas... Earlier you called me you're um..."
"Mate," he finished for me, since the words obviously weren't coming out correctly.
"What exactly does that mean?" I asked instead of hyperventilating yet again.
"Lindsey," Lucas said softly. I didn't even realize she was still in the room.
"Ok ok I'm leaving, peace!" And with that she spun in a circle and skipped out of the room. I knew I liked her.
"Brynn you are my mate, my soul mate. You and I are meant to be together and nothing can ever come in between us. Do you understand?"
"Um no..."
He sighed, "ok well every were is born with one other made exactly for them. When said were turns 15 they have the ability to sense their mate. When you moved here I could tell that something was different but I didn't know what until I met you."
"SOO you're telling me that you and I are going to be together?"
"Yes."
"What if I don't want that though?" But I did, I did and it scared me. I've never wanted someone so badly and it was extremely confusing.
"You... You don't want..." Pain flashed through his handsome features and he stood up to walk away, hands forming tight fists.
Something kicked in deep inside me pushing me after him. I grabbed him arm roughly and stepped closer. His eyes showed how much I'd hurt him but his jaw was set in anger, eyebrows turned down. "If you don't mean it just leave," he growled lowly.
