I think the saddest people try their hardest to make other people happy. Because they know whats it like to feel absolutely worthless and they dont want anybody else to feel like that.

This place is making me nervous.

I don't know anyone here, they don't know me either. Which I guess is a plus.

"Oi mate watch where you're going!" Looking up, I expect to see an angry british guy looking at me, but there was no british guy.

Infact, there was no one standing infront of me. "Sorry that you were in the way dufus."

Oh no....not a fight! Please not a fight!

Everyone started gathering in a circle around the two guys, me walking close to them, was caught in the middle beside two rowdy guys who were chanting fight.

Plus the people behind and infront of me were also doing the same thing...and I can't handle this right now, uh oh here we go.

My breath shortened, a light pounding headache went from nothing to everything, I started feeling dizzy and was at a loss of breath.

Not here..please not here! Taking in four deep breaths I slowly count to ten, my therapist told me it'll help at times like this.

But did that work?! NO! Oh god this how I'm gonna go...in school, because of a damn panic attack!

Breath Penny. Breath.

"Hey you okay?" Looking side to side, I try to find that voice, that voice thats asking if I'm okay. "Behind you."

Turning around, I'm pushed into a hard chest, slowly looking up, my eyes are met with warm brown eyes. "Uh...I'm fine, just a little out of breath, but fine."

The look of concern plastered on this guys face was amazing, he doesn't even know me and he's concerned about me. "Do you want me to take you to the nurse's office?" Nodding my head, I let this guy, who's name I still do not know, guide me to the nurse's office.

"Thanks by the way...I'm Penny." Whispering ever so quietly, I didn't expect him to hear me, but he did.

"Jake. My name's Jake. Nice to meet you Penny." God..his voice.. nodding my head, I continue walking behind him. "So you new here?"

I nod my head...again, "yeah." He looked back at me, a small smile playing on his face.

"Not much of a talker huh?" Nodding my head, I move my eyes to the ground. "What year are you in?"

My eyes look up at him....again, "uh I'm a sophmore...so ten..year ten." He nods his head and lets out a small whistle.

"Cool, I'm in year twelve." Nodding my head..once again, I go to speak up, but he cuts me off "so you have any siblings?"

Lightly shaking my head I speak up "No, I'm an only child, my mom passed when I was really young and my father didn't bother to remarry."

He looked back at me, a small sad smile on his lips "oh, I'm sorry for asking."

"No its fine, how about you, do you have any siblings?"

The sad smile was replaced instantly by a happy grin. "Yeah, six siblings actually, they're a pain in the ass but I love them." Giving him a smile, I look down. "So here you go, if you need me I'll be waiting outside."

"No its fine, you can go to class, thanks." He nodded his head, gave me a quick smile and walkef off.

The final bell rang, signaling that the school day is over.

Thank God, I don't think I could handle another minute in that hell hole.

Standing from my seat I grab my bag and book and walk out of the classroom...after the pushing had died down.

Walking past my locker I go straight for the doors.

Ignoring the chaos around me.

The slight pitter patter of rain picking up, it wasn't pouring but it wasn't spitting either.

It was the perfect weather to walk home in.

Jake's pov

The yellow light quicklg changed to red before I could speeed up, the music blaring in the background.

I couldn't seem to focus on the lyrics that were coming from the song, I was more focused on a soecific brunette who was walking.

As soon as that light turned green I went in to the lane next to me so I was beside the side walk, slowing down the car, I roll down the passenger window amd say "you need a ride?"

Her head looked over, causing our eyes to meet, she had these sparkly hazel eyes, I could stare in them for ages.

"I'll walk, thanks for the offer though." She shyly said, tucking a piece of her straight brown hair behind her ear.

"C'mon kitten let me drive you home." The faint blush on her cheeks became clearer after I had called her kitten.

"Maybe some other time okay?"

Giving her my best pouty look I simply said, "kitten please, its raining out, I wouldn't mind driving you."

"We just met Jake, I'll be fine, don't worry about me." She gave me a wave and sped up her pace.

Shrugging my shoulders I drive off.

She could've took up the offer and just get in the car. But nooooo she had to be stubborn amd say no. We did just meet so...I mean I understand that but it's not like I'm going to hurt her.
