Training Wheels

A week later

  After school Melanie and I decided to go to grab ice cream and head back to my house. It's Friday so we just decided she should sleep over. We are currently playing truth or dare. "Okay Y/N, Truth or dare?" "Truth" "Okay, is it true you like girls?" I looked at Melanie, honestly really shocked. How did she know? "H-how do you know?" Melanie smiled at me and leaned close and put her lips to my ear. "I see the way you look at girls, especially me..." at that moment she pulled back and bit her lip. I couldn't help but blush. "Truth or dare?" I ask the colorful girl. "Truth" "Okay, is it true that you like girls too?" she looked me straight in the eye and said "Yes...Especially you..." she trailed off. "What was the last part?" I asked thinking I must have heard her wrong. She put her head down and I lifted her chin. We just looked into each other's eyes for a while until she kissed me. Over and over again. It was magical. She eventually pulled back and rested her head on mine. "Y/N...Will you be my girlfriend?" I couldn't believe it. "...Mel...are you sure you want to date me? I mean what would everyone think about us?" She just smiled. "Y/N, what about me makes you think that I care about what other people think? The only person who's opinion matters to me is yours. Y/N I really like you. If you don't like me back it's okay. But please if you do, give me a chance." We both stayed silent for a a few minutes till finally Mel broke the silence. "I said that I don't care about what people think... But is it really important to you?" She looked worried "No. People are so caught up in who they think I am. But only you know who I truly am." I took a deep breath and looked into her beautiful brown eyes. "I really like you too Mel. And yes I will be your girlfriend."
