(Noo I need baby Rave to be happy...)

You and Raven were quiet. Well, you were quiet. Raven was explaining some mechanical concept that you were trying to comprehend but it appeared mechanics just wasn't your thing. She was fixing something, that's all you could gather.

"Y/N? Hey?" You drew your eyes back to her and shook your head, apologising. She just shrugged and smiled continuing tightening screws and bolts and all of that very same stuff you didn't understand.

But you enjoyed her company, so you stayed, often finding Raven out and sitting with her for hours. You looked around the room, drawings, plans and models surrounding the two of you.

"Shit!" She swore under her breath and you looked up and away from your thoughts to find her staring at the ground where she'd dropped a tool of some sort. You rose from your seat and made your way over to her.

"I got it." You reassured a hand placing itself on her shoulder. She shook her head in objection, ponytail swinging.

"No. I can get it." You opened your mouth to object but she had already started trying to bend down, just getting more and more frustrated when she couldn't seem to get it.

You could only watch as she got worked up. Eventually after giving her a fair few tries you bent down and grabbed the tool and placed it softly in her palm.

"I told you I had it." She croaked, tears in her eyes but daggers in her tone. You sighed and ran your fingers through your hair.

"If you say so Reyes. A thank you would usually suffice." Your eyes narrowed and she looked down guiltily.

"It's just so hard." She whimpered. "I can't do anything anymore. I feel helpless and that I can't be of any use to anyone and I'm just a burden." You blinked in shock at the confession and you went to hold her hand but she jerked away from you, working herself up. More and more and more.

"I hate it Y/N! It's never going to get better and I'm just going to be treated like a child that needs babysitting, around the clock. I'm sick of it."

She was seething and shaking, it took you a fair few minutes before you could calm her a moderate amount, let alone comfort her.

When her breathing was slightly steadier you were happy to find she let you encase her hand in your own.

"Look Raven. I know this sucks. But I have no doubt that no one sees you as useless.

The only reason we watch out for you is because we care about you, you can handle yourself, you've proved that time and time again. Just because this leg may dampen your actions doesnt mean it should extinguish your spirit."

You smiled at her softly, bringing her into the comfort of your arms for a while, sitting down on the floor.

This time, you were both quiet. But you both liked it like this. Raven sighed contently into your chest, her breathing finally slowing to a reasonable pace as you stroked her hair.

"Thanks Y/N" She whispered, her eyes drooping shut and as you looked down to reply you found the beauty sound asleep.
