4:08 am.

Elliot raced outside and started his car. Turning the key in the ignition he hastily pulled out of his drive way and began the short drive to Tessa's flat, and he knew exactly where it was.

He'd been there so many times before.

Not bothering to stop at the gate, seeing as it was private property, he parked across the street and threw open his car door, slammed it close and clicked the lock button.

He has to hurry because to him;

This was a life or death situation.

His heart had finally began beating for someone else.

Ducking under the gate, he sprinted to her door. Knocking fearfully, and rather loudly, on it; hoping she was up.

A light was suddenly turned on and he heard footsteps inside.

She was.

His heart began to beat even harder in his chest and his breathing began to feel forced.

Everything stopped for a moment.

Tess opened the door.

Not even thinking, Elliot put his hands behind her neck and brought their foreheads together.

"Tess," he sighed.

His padded thumbs ran over her tear stained cheeks.

"Elliot," she cried.

Her tears was a mix of joy and relief.

Relief that her prince was finally here.

"My heart beats for you."
