5-yr-old Saakshi ran through the golden fields of wheat, laughing and dancing merrily. Those who watched her couldn't help but smile and join her.
Saakshi had long, beautiful brown hair, large, grey eyes, and a sweet smile that was always on her lips. She had a sweet nature and was loved by all.
She lived in the tiny Indian village named Bagh, which got its name from the dense forest which surrounded the entire village, making the village look circular in shape from an aerial view. The only way to get out of the village was a rough road that was made through it at one point otherwise you'd have to get through dense forests. Even then, it was a dangerous trip since no one can tell which wild animal might choose to make an appearance at a point on the road. There was also a river that ran through the forest that never dried up.
Why was she so happy on this particular day? Why, it was her 6th birthday!! She was very excited and wondered what surprises her parents had planned for her.
When she glanced at the small but fairly high (higher than all other buildings in the village) clock tower in the village square, she noticed the time was already 11:46 a.m. and she raced home (which wasn't very far), for her parents had instructed her to be home by 12:00 noon.
