Chapter 1
"It sure is cold isn't it?" Luxus said as he punched Jai in the arm playfully. Luxus wore his bright, yellow hoody, paired with dark jeans, and his yellow sneakers. His hair was just as blond as his attire, and his eyes mimicked the lightning color. Jai on the other hand wore his favorite color, blue. His hoodie was an icy blue, his jeans a light blue shade, but his sneakers were surprisingly a light grey. His light purple hair complimented his bright, blue eyes so that any woman would have been mesmerized by his icy stare.
"Hey...dude what's wrong?" Jai looked out at the snowy scene before him. White flakes of snow slowly drifted from the sky, landing with ease on the ground below. Trees were densely covered with these flakey fiends, and the snow piled about three inches above ground level. To Jai it was a perfect day. Jai loved snow, and ice, hell even the cold itself amused Jai. He looked back at Luxus
"Something's not right." Luxus followed Jai's gaze with his mouth slightly agape.
"What do you mean? You haven't forgotten that it's December in Boston have you? Snow is kind of a normal occurrence."
Jai looked out at the scene one last time. He couldn't shake the feeling that something strange was going on. He stood up off his front porch and kicked Luxus softly. "C'mon, let's get out of here. We've got school in a couple of hours."
Luxus smiled and stood "Why in the hell would you wake me up so early then if we're heading out now?"
Jai smiled. "Shut the hell up, and follow your big bro."
They made their way, easily, across the dark black road. Following it's endless twists and turns till finally arriving at the school. It was empty, as was to be expected when you arrive three hours early. They made their way around the campus before reaching a garden behind the school grounds. Jai looked around. The garden was completely enclosed in a glass dome, and upon entering he couldn't help but notice the change in temperature. Luxus was ecstatic as he stated "Nice and warm. Isn't it just wonderful."
Jai's sullen frown was enough to answer that question, but still he replied "I liked it better outside."
Luxus smirked "Maybe I should leave you out there then." Jai responded nonchalantly with a quick smack to his face. Luxus rubbed his face still smiling "You know damn well that's painful."
Jai simply walked up to a fountain. "Just shut up, and do it."
Luxus made a big show of cracking his knuckles and doing stretching exercises. "Alright, looks like i'm good to go." He extended his hands and suddenly bright yellow tendrils of light danced across the water top. Bubbles started to form in the water as though the air inside was struggling to escape. As the bubbles intensified the water grew a deeper shade of violet. Luxus shot his arms up as it began to bubble even stronger, earning an eyeroll from Jai. Finally the bubbling receded, and Luxus let the performance end.
Jai eyed the dark purple liquid before lifting his gaze to meet Luxus'. "You're sure this is gonna work?"
Luxus chuckled at his older brother's lack of faith in his handiwork. "Of course it'll work! If we drink it now we'll be envy of all men and the dreams of all women in two seconds! All we gotta do is make sure we get done in an hour before it wears off."
Jai smirked. "Well then test it."
Luxus chuckled. "You know I would just love to test this out, but you know-" He looks around dramatically, in search of some unknown being. "I just can't happen to find any ladies. I don't know maybe i'm just going blind, but maybe you can find some for me."
Jai laughed. "Aww, is little brother having trouble finding girls that like him." Jai said mockingly. Luxus replied with a smile "That's just cold."
