Chapter three
One week later
Sage
“Mister Zecron. You claim that you are ready for the trials. Is this true?” Sage nodded to Mace Windu. “Well, we have been discussing this since your master came to us a week ago and...”
“We have decided that you are indeed ready.” One of the jedi's whom Sage did not know finished. “We will begin immediately of course.” Sage took a deep breath, and nodded.
Saiya
“Ugh... I hope he's okay.” Saiya paced her room, obviously flustered. Anakin opened his mouth to say something, but closed his mouth a second later, deciding against it. “I have to go see. I need to watch.” Saiya went for the door, but found Anakin in front of her, blocking it. “Right...” Saiya mumbled, realizing her mistake. She couldn't go to him, she wasn't allowed to watch.
“I'll go watch. Okay?” Saiya shook her head.
“No... don't leave me.” Anakin gasped, slightly surprised by Saiya's comment.
“Al... alright. If that's what you want.” Saiya nodded and went over to the huge glass window. She stared out at all the hover-cars flying by and sighed.
“Do you think he's going to be okay?” Saiya asked softly, she placed her hands on the glass and closed her eyes.
“He's going to be fine.” Anakin put his arm comfortably around Saiya's shoulders and she sighed.
“You promise?”
“Yeah... I promise.”
A few hours later
Obi-Wan
“Are you serious?” Obi-Wan tried to keep his voice calm, but failed horribly. Yoda gave him a concerned look, and dismissed the outburst a second later. “Master Yoda. Do you have any idea what that could do to their relationship? It would destroy them, they'd be at each others throats every second of the day!”
“This will be a great test for them. But we feel it is necessary, Obi-Wan.” Mace Windu drummed his fingers on the arm of his chair and sighed. “If you have nothing else to say...” Obi-Wan bowed stiffly, and walked out of the room, the end of his robe trailing after him.
'This is a mistake...'
Sage
“You have done well.” Sage bowed slightly, then looked up at Mace Windu.
“Thank you, Sir.”
“We have a padawan for you...”
“What??” Sage shut his mouth and cursed himself silently for interrupting.
“Your padawan is waiting for you in the next room.” Mace Windu didn't seem irritated at all by Sage's interruption.
“Yes Sir. Thank you Sir.”
Saiya
“Can you believe it Ani? They found me a master!” Saiya could barely contain her excitement.
“Calm down before you hurt yourself silly.” Anakin laughed and grinned widely at her.
“But I'm excited!” Saiya jumped up and down a few times. The door slid open behind her, and Sage walked in.
“Umm... Saiya? Why are you in here?” Sage asked, thinking he had somehow walked into the wrong room. Obi-wan slipped into the room behind him, beckoning Anakin over to him. The two whispered quietly to each other in the back of the room. Saiya looked at her brother, confused.
“Wait... are you my... oh my god.”
