Monsters, murderers, they are people who are looked at and frowned upon. Having committed an act that was wrong or unjustified. These people walk the earth everyday, some known but saved, but others - other walk freely in secret having been undiscovered. Their acts were never witnessed. They could almost be considered lucky, though why would anyone wish to have the life of a criminal, even if the criminal was never caught? The revenge may have been satisfying but now they shall live in guilt.
Punishments, those are what is given to those who commit such acts. They are condemned to a life that no one would ever want. They are tortured or thrown into prison to live out the rest of their miserable days. The more fortunate, if it could be considered even that, are sent straight to their death. An easy escape from the guilt they otherwise would have suffered with the rest of their days.
But if one looks close enough into the world, they would soon learn that the monsters are not only human. They are species from another world, some born to it and some cursed to it. The punishments and revenge of a magical community that, otherwise, will never be revealed to any mortal. Only to the unfortunate few that stumble across paths with the beings. The ones who end up cursed. Because when mortals and otherworldly beings fall in love, it never ends up well.
The word love is as infatuating as the feeling but it is jealousy that destroys even the purest of love. It corrupts and transforms people into vile monsters. Spiraling anger and driven to madness. Slowly over time love is broken. It does not last. They say time heals all wounds but they forgot to mention that it also causes them as well.
When jealousy turns to murder and anger into retaliation a curse is enacted. Two blood lines, one unending feud. To break the curse the two must form an unbreakable bond. Will they break it with love? Or will blame continue to fuel the fire of hatred?
