Chapter 1: Beginning

"Where am I?? I can't see clearly.."

"Hey bitch!! That's right for you!! Hahahaha!!" 

I don't know who was talking I can't see clearly. It's too dark in here..

She slapped me very hard.. I don't know her.. There are so many of them.. I fought back but..

"Com'on girls let's rip this bitch off" another voice.. I was about to stand but they started to kick the hell out of me. It hurts so much. I can't take it anymore.. 

Someone please hell me... help me...

After they have bruised my body, they tie me up..

"We're done with you.. Pathetic girl..."

"Let's go, lock the door so this girl will rot in here."

"Xiao, haha!" 

Her laugh echoed around this room.. It scares the hell out of me.. 

They opened the door, the lights outside reflected inside this room, but I still can't see..

I panicked the moment they closed the door.

"NO!! PLEASE NOOOOOO!!!!!"

"Emerald... wake up now!! You'll gonna be late for school!!" my mom while knocking on my door

What a relief.. It was just a nightmare. A NIGHTMARE that was part of my memories. A tragic memory.. That made my life miserable

"Emerald!!!! Hurry!!!" -mom

"Okay Mom, I'm coming!!"  I prepared myself for school before going there.. I already took a shower.. 

I actually don't want to go to school after what happened a year ago..

I can't trust anyone now.. except for my Family.. Urgghh those memories again.. 

By the way, I'm Emerald Jane Shin.   Just call me Em-Em for short.. 18 years old. I'm one-third Filipino, one-third Chinese and one-third Korean...I live now here in S.Korea. I don't have any friends. I don't know why they don't like me..  I only have my family..

"Em-em. are you okay?? You look so weak.." - my dad asked..

"I'm okay dad. I just had a bad dream.." me. 

"You sure?" my mom asked

"Yes I am" I just said.. 

"By the way dear, since your school is far from here. I bought a house for you there.. So it will not be troublesome for you to come home late. We will pay you a visit there, don't worry"- Dad

"But Dad. I don't want to be separated from you. You know that you're the only one that I have" -me while crying

Yeah I cried, I don't want to be separated from them, I'm scared, I feel that I am not safe without them.

"But you need to Em-Em, It's for your own good. So that you can also overcome your fear." Mom said while rubbing my back

"Pack your things now and we're going" Dad just said. He put his coat on and headed outside.
