That one word alone was enough to bring Jin back to reality and he turned around and rushed to his brother's side. Tears of happiness began to flow down his face, as he looked at his little brother's expression.
"Hyung." Jungkook too was crying, as he watched his older brother break down.
"I'm going to be okay. You don't have to worry." Jungkook's words were of little comfort to Jin, who despite being grateful that his brother was awake, was now more than ever focused on his job.
"And don't you worry either. I'm going to catch the bastard that did this to you, if it's the last thing I do. I promise." His conviction showed clearly in his voice.
"About that. I think there may be some good to come out of this situation. I happened to see a little bit of the person who shot me before I passed out. He had dark brown hair and was of medium height. He looked really frightened. I don't know, but I get the feeling that the person who shot me wasn't Silence."
"That's nonsense. It had to be Silence. You were about to talk to his accomplice, so he probably freaked out and shot you. It had to be him. Since I know you are awake though, I'm going to go back to that place and see if I can find out anything of use." Jin desperately wanted to believe that his brother was wrong. There was no way it could be anybody but Silence. He was sure of it. While he didn't really want to leave his brother, he felt it was a priority to find out as much as he could, so this case could be resolved sooner.
He sped as fast as he could to the scene of the shooting. When he was trained for this job, his supervisor had told him that killers tend to visit the scene of the crime, and so he assumed he would potentially run into a suspect by going there. What he found was nothing. Not a soul in sight and it didn't seem like there had been for quite some time. Frustrated, he kicked a nearby stop sign.
The sound made the person behind him gasp, and he too flinched a little. He hadn't realized there was someone tailing him. When he turned around he almost had to do a double take. He didn't think she would be stupid enough to get that close to him.
"Can we talk?" the small voice asked.

When she saw a police car pull over a block in front of her, Minha decided this was her only chance of leaving Yoongi. She hurried up to the officer as he was looking around. For whatever reason he seemed to have not noticed her.
She saw him kick a stop sign and gasped. He turned around, clearly just as startled as she was.
"Can we talk?" She asked. He looked at her with anger and she could feel the guilt eating at her. He must be angry because he knows I'm partially responsible for a fellow officer's death, she thought.
"I need your help."
"Why the hell would I want to help you?" He spat the words at her.
"Because it will help you too. I understand you are looking for a criminal known as Silence. I may have information for you, but I won't disclose it until you guarantee me protection." She had practiced this conversation a million times in her head, but she was still nervous.
The man didn't even hesitate before grabbing her arm and pulling her into his patrol car.
"Fine. I will guarantee your protection, but in return, you have to come down to the station and give and officially disclose your information to the task force."
