Accidentally in love ( a yuunoa fanfiction)

Chapter 3-Yuu

I grabbed her hand and started walking, and she reluctantly followed.

"Let's go I know an orphanage that is close by that we can stay at"

"Wait why are we staying at an orphanage?"

"Well..... You see because I have no place to stay and I can't just leave you alone."

"Yuu-San why don't you have anywhere to stay? Are you homeless?"

"No....... Well, I do have a place to stay..... But.."

Should I tell her?

I began to feel my heart aching, and my eyes beginning to water.

"But what?"
She asked me softly.

"My parents would kill me if I returned to them."

A horrified look crossed her face.

"Why?"
"Because my parents hate me...... They ......... They say that I'm a demon child and that I was never supposed to be born............. They say I'm the cause of all their problems...........I'm just a worthless piece of garbage to them... I couldn't take it anymore so I ran away......"

I started crying midway throughout the sentence.
She let go of my hand and hugged me. Then she stood on her tiptoes and wiped away my tears. She sank back down to her normal height.

"Don't let others tell you you're worthless..... You are worth more than you could ever know Yuu-San. You saved me from being kidnapped today. How could you ever be worthless after helping me like that?"
She said with a smile.

I blushed and just grabbed her hand again and began walking again.

Wait.

Her clothes aren't dirty or torn... why is she out on the streets by herself?

"Hey... Shinoa?"

"Yes, yuu-San?"

"Why was that guy after you? How did he find you?"

"Well umm.. I also ran away from home..."

"But why?"
I was shocked.

How could someone as put together as her have run away from home?

"Well because my parents didn't care for me. To them, I never existed. That guy just found me on the streets and wanted to take me with him against my will..."

I see, but even if her parents didn't care for her and even if that creep was still tormenting her how can she smile so brightly.....

"Yuu-San? How old are you?"
She asked out of nowhere.

"I'm twelve how about you?"

"I'm eleven "

She suddenly gasped and exclaimed
"YUU-SAN!!!! YOUR'E BLEEDING!!!!!"

She looked at my back frantically and touched the bloody spot on my red hoodie. She looked down at her hand which was now stained with my blood.

Her eyes widened and she blinked away tears.
"Your parents....... They did this to you, didn't they?!?! Come on let's hurry and get to the orphanage!!!"

She gripped my hand tightly and started running.

This girl...... She's been through so much but can she still manage to smile.

She must have a really good reason to smile despite her crappy life.

I wonder. Will I ever be able to smile as brightly as her...
