Never Again

Chapter 2: Cody

Cody looked like my dream guy, I couldn't believe I would spending the morning with him!

Cody has baby blue eyes, is tall, skinny and has brown hair which is flipped to the left.

After spending the morning with Cody I learned that he's captain of the volley ball team and has 3 sisters, 2 brothers and 2 dogs which made me think about how big his house was but that doesn't matter. What matters is that he's single and isn't read for another relationship which kind of stinks but whatever I can't change that. He also told me that his last girlfriend cheated on him and I felt bad for him but I couldn't change that either.

He walked me to every class and told me he would walk me tomorrow to and I couldn't help but squeal but not out loud of course.

When I got home my parents were waiting for me.

"How was your first day at the new school?" My mom asked as I walked into the kitchen.

"Perfect." I said with a giant smile on my face.

"Did you make any friends."

"I wouldn't say I made friends but I made a friend I guess." I said rummaging through the candy bowl.

"Well, what's their name?!"

"Cody." I blushed when I said this.

"Ooh a boyfriend already?" My mother oohed.

"Oh my god mom!! Really!! No!!" I screamed.

"What?" She said innocently.

"Mom, do you really think I made a boyfriend on my first day ?"

"It could happen!" My mom protested.

I tried picturing this for a second. Could I have built up the nerves to ask him out? Would I have asked him if I did? Even if I did I wouldn't have cause he even said he wasn't ready for a relationship plus it was to late, the day was over.

My mom gave me a ride to school the next day and I met Cody in front of the school.

"Hey Cody!! How's it going?!" I said as I waved hello.

"Oh hey! Could I ask you something?"

I got really nervous when I heard these words come out of his mouth. I was afraid of what he would ask.

"Sure" I said.

"I was wondering, would you like to come over to my house this Saturday night, my family is gonna have a barbecue, so if you and your family want to come we would like to welcome you to our neighborhood."

I couldn't believe what I was hearing!!! This cute guy was asking me over to his house, I mean me of all girls. In my head I was squealing with excitement, I couldn't believe it!!!

"Yeah that would be awesome!!!" This was all I could think of to say.

At lunch Cody told me everything about his family barbecues. Every month they have a barbecue and invite all their friends and family, they play games and get to know each other. I couldn't wait to go!!!
